My wife is really the only person that was grossed out by the smell, I was a pipe smoker. Pipe tobacco smells amazing. It just sticks in my beard for about a week or so and started to smell like an ashtray. The wife didn’t like kissing an ashtray but apparently a fog machine is okay.

Doubt it but not 100% sure. Buddy has trail premium wheels on his 3rd gen 4Runnah, so sameish year of wheel production to sameish year of truck and they clear fine

Yea, I wanted that bad for my Lexus but I couldn't justify the $2k price tag. I have seen it on sale for just under $1.5 k but still. So I just move the one I have back and forth. If the new version has the range that I have with the older version then I would not buy anything else. Unless real tests proved otherwise. Mine has identified Ka radar (the most common police band used in the USA) out in the country where I live when they were on the other side of hills approaching me. Radar bounces off things but it still just a signal wave that travels in whatever direction their device is pointing. What the newer models have that mine doesn't is the Blind Spot Monitoring and Safety Sensors cancellation technology. So depending on the vehicles around me (Hyundai seems to be the worst) I get a lot of K band false hits. But I've trained myself to look for them and to know what our local state boys drive. County cops all drive marked vehicles or every once and a while a suburban. Our state boys will drive anything. Plus I've taught myself what to look for like the mini lights, the top of a mounted laptop, the front fender ports on a chevy impalla (where they hide the side flashing lights), or the bulging fenders on the impala they require for the fatter tires. I also look for dual exhaust explorers. Those are the higher output engines. Anything marked if you have LEDs in your headlights will light up like a christmas tree.

 I got my first speeding ticket on the 6th day after getting my license back in 78'. I like to go fast. The last ticket before, and is why, I got the Redline radar detector cost me nearly $500 bucks. I went to court and paid it so I wouldn't get the points. I got lucky recently with the truck and was let go with a warning. He was sitting on the by-pass in the dark, unmarked, and threw the radar on at the last minute. The radar detector worked but it was too late.

I have 2017 TRD OR wheels but they have the same backspacing across the third generation.

It has rubbing at full lock, albeit I have bigger tires than stock.

Really? There was a point in my trucks life where I considered buying TRD take offs which I think are 3.5” of bs and read they’d work ok. I think my cheapo method knock offs are 4.5” and I rubbed with 31s

Pipe smoke is mmm mmm delicious. Reminds me of this barber I had many moons ago when I had hair. Guy was a Marine and Korean War vet. Tough as nails. Smoked a pipe 24/7 it seemed. Good man.

Thanks! I see a lot of first Gens rolling around with them. They’re nice but the backspacing is trash.

That looks awesome. Really like those wheels on first gens. There’s a wheel similar that game stock on tundras I’ve been trying to find a deal on

I love em. Third genners tend to not like them and sell the takeoffs for cheap.

Mondays are their favorite day. Sorry to hear it.

Here's the one I use and endorse. It's the last generation but I absolutely swear by it. Read my previous post.

Here's a old review on it:

    Here's the new version:

If you got the coin, get the new one.

My tire size is LT265/75R16 and they fit fine, albeit with rubbing at the frame on full lock.

My offset is 25mm, but I can't find the bs anywhere. Too lazy to measure

Edit: Your truck looks extra neat :fistbump:
