I got my truck December 2016 and so far it freaks me out how much miles I've done put on it. Mostly freeway miles but miles are miles right. So here's a pic haha.

 

And it looks like I'll be getting a replacement after all...

 

380 miles to a tank? I'm lucky if I squeeze 250 out of mine.

Side note: after the Hidden Falls Trip, I will be looking to change up my tires, so I will be looking to sell my 295/70/17 General Grabber X3s if anyone is interested, will have Certs on them, and will be trying to get some replaced before getting new tires all around so they be fresh and only used on the road.

 

That number is a lie. Mine always said 385 right after filling up, and I averaged around 300.

 

Lol yes I know I have a lot .it's funny when ppl see you the miles and their reactions

As for the gas....it's kinda weird. When I got it new it used to give me 416mpg but after few months I was only getting like 312 or so and the dealer said truck was getting used to my driving......now a year later I get 320 mpg and just today I filled up I got 416 miles on a full tank. Idk any explanation to that.

 

Anyone want to help me with a CMC? Tandem wants to charge me $150...

Edit: I guess that's better than All Out charging $315

 

Others in DFW (like smith and goode) want to charge $200-250

 

Yeah, I'm realizing that they're on the cheaper end

 

Doesn't look too difficult! I've got a $15 Chinese 4" cutoff wheel from Harbor Freight and a tube of JB Weld for the cover plate.

 

ive got a welder that can make 2 pieces of metal stick together

 

I have a hacksaw and chewing gum.


I actually do have a chinese 4” angle grinder too, but no expertise with it.

 

From what I understand, cutting the cab mount is the easy part. It's finding someone capable enough to weld if you really want the plates back on. Others leave it open after the cut as it's easier to clean out the mud. Tandem did mine a while back and people have told me the welds look like bubble gum, but they got it done quickly.

 

And I think @ETXTacoma still rubbed even after tandem did his cmc
