Is "Gluten" a real thing? I've tried different foods with and without gluten, and they all tasted the same to me.

Taste is really irrelevant. I had not idea I was killing myself. Reason why you hear of it so much now is that it's a simple blood test. Before there was all sorts of tests & most were inconclusive. What I wouldn't give it eat some of the things I used to. In some cases, there is No substitute Sadly.

 

Oh yeah, just gotta watch out for cross contamination, that's all.

 

It’s a rough lifestyle, my wife has been on a Keto diet, no gluten, for almost a year. We had mashed cauliflower instead of mashed potatoes for thanksgiving, wasn’t bad. They make gluten free beer also. I’m supposed to try a gluten free diet to see if it helps my migraines and gut issues.

Part of this is Genetic too. It's just how susceptible you are to it. I just started getting really sick one day & got tested. What they found was innards so thin & damaged that an aneurism was impending. I read a lot of food ingredient labels now. Stomach problems now are non existent.

 

I didn’t know you could get a blood test. I’ll have to give it a try at beginning of the year. I’ve only been insuring myself for the first part of each year.
