Made the call to set up my inspection today. Came home and had got the letter from Toyota about the frame. How crazy is that?

If you spray it under the truck in your driveway, does it ruin it if you spill any or overspray?

Fluid Film is petroleum based with no solvents. A drop cloth can be used during application and they recommend Simple Green for clean up of excess spray on a garage floor.
There is a snap on lid for no drip pouring of the 1 gal. can of Fluid Film.

What? All I see is FF.
I don’t think 2013s are covered. But if you have metal loss or a suspected compromised frame have a dealership take a look.

Lol, there's a rust spot in the top 1/3 above where the slider sits.

Mine got a new frame put in back in 2016. The dealer had it for 6 months and set me up in a rental the whole time.

My 2010 just failed the inspection on Friday. I was told 4-6 weeks for the frame replacement to come in, and 3-5 days for the swap

    Congratulations! I guess :/

Took 10 weeks for my frame to come, then 4 days to replace. I was in a loaner (brand new Taco) that whole time. I guess my 2007 frame was considered unsafe. Are they keeping your truck and giving you a loaner? They did a great job on my truck - when I got it back, it was like driving a new truck. I hope your dealer does as good a job!

I was able to keep my truck until the frame arrives. Good thing, because I need to go back to stock from this

Wow, only somewhat paying attention to the dates, though is this the 1st 2010 listed here?

I was approved for a new frame in August. Still driving my truck. ... dealership is telling me the new frame probably won't be in till spring. Consider yourself lucky that you got your frame and that they put you in a demo. I'm not very happy with this whole process

what's the inspection check for? surface rust or perforation? i got another notification in the mail recently. my frame doesn't look bad overall except for the X that's hidden by the spare. it's pretty gnarly but still solid.

Hit a hammer on the inside of the frame by your secondary cat (on your Y pipe) on the drivers side. If it goes through, you fail

Hopefully all your rebuilds with the new frame go better than mine. Dealer only hand tightened the bolts that connect the LCA to spindle. Makes me think about the guy whose lug nuts weren't put on at the dealership. Negligent
