I really want to go to Windrock... all these posts are making me jealous. I drove through Knoxville this weekend and that's all I could think about. Just can't swing being gone for 3 weekends in a row if I were to go to Windrock. I guess I could just get up stupid early and meet yall there for Saturday then leave at the end of the day.... we'll see.

Apparently we were really close to Uwharrie (or however its spelled) in NC where we were staying. Was tempted to take the in-laws Tundra for a joy ride but decided against it.

I really wish I had the time and the will to do stuff like that. Just not into it. I love a great looking vehicle though and do my best to keep mine that way. I’m just not a overachiever with stuff like that.

edit: also expected to receive it Wednesday. I wont do much with it but get it out of the rain though.

 

Today was my off day and spent most of it working on the truck. Christmas lights, added a 3rd brake light to the rack since the RTT covers the factory one, added a 12v outlet to the bed, and got the wiring ran for the dash cam.

 

@TheTacoma, looks like this guy has same tent i ordered.

Love it. Almost identical to the CVT tent. Hardest thing is getting the travel cover on.

 

Interesting. I can get the CVT for $200 more, but it sounds like it might not be worth the extra.

you'd have to compare a bit, looks like smittybilt is a bit thicker though i'm not familiar with these measurements of 420d and 600d

also the smittybilt is 56" wide instead of 48"

as far as overall quality can't answer that. they're both entry level I'd assume similar.

That extra 8 inches is huge. If those are the 2 to compare I'm going smitty. Best way to determine it is tape off a box the size of the tent on the floor somewhere and see if you can sleep beside somebody with it. This comment isnt to you Tanner since you have one lol, just to anybody reading and considering. It's what made me get the mt Shasta when I had it. The space was amazing.

Yeah they all list things a different way, not much difference in all of them.

CVT is poly/cotton rip-stop canvas, 3 inch thick mattress

Smtty is rip stop polyester, 2.36 inch mattress
