Ouch that sucks man! makes one hell of a story. yeah headlight deep over a big swamp like that is definitely a no, but hurricanes widest stream crossing is maybe 20 feet after a rain, there is a pond like that one you are in on one of the side trails off hurricane, I wouldn't touch it with a daily driver though

It's not the depth or length it's where the intake is located. Very easily can get unlucky and kick enough water up to lock her down. I only got enough in her to fill one cycl ~8-12 oz and that's all she wrote. That wasn't a pond I was in. We were at AOAA and it's very wet there plus it poured the rain the night before so there were a lot of water holes in low spots like this. 4 other trucks made it through this just fine I got unlucky and that's all it takes.

Yep a little over a week after getting home had the truck back. When I say getting home I was 7:30 hrs away driving normally it took me ~10 had to tow her home with a Uhaul dolly and 10ft box truck that was fun through the Mtns of WV and VA. We were up in PA at AOAA offroad park. When you wheel a lot and hard you are bound to break or damage something eventually.

    I meant hurricane creek .

I've got some really good gear so it doesn't bother me. But I feel ya wet and cold are no fun and could be disastrous if something went array!

We will plan according to the weather. Tbis isnthe first time going for most of us, if not all, so some experience would be greatly appreciated and likely priceless.

Have no experience with Hurricane creek but do have experience running trails. Not that hard to navigate we will see what the weather brings.

I've got Plenty of experience on Hurricane, but I am not going to bring my truck again till I'm lifted, @Dhannah knows that area really well too, I'm not sure if he's going or not

You don't. I'd say at least half the trucks on that trip were stock or very close to it. Maybe a fear of scraping, but there was a pretty low risk of that. I understand though, don't want to tear up your baby.

Hurricane Creek was no more difficult than Chestnut Mt. Some rough areas but mostly pretty nice.
