I think the point most are making here is while one would think you would gain more integration with updates, Toyota is removing it. Regardless what you think a truck should have, people paid extra money for a technology package, that now, has less than it started with.

I remember some old dudes bitching about Chevy failing to provide a CD player in the Colorado. I guess it goes both ways. As a fellow old-ish dude, I couldn't understand why they couldn't just rip their CDs to a USB stick and enjoy the freedom of all of their songs on one device.

Times change. Some adapt, some don't.

I think what most people fail to see is why it got removed. Sirius XM bought out Pandora, and due to that Sirius and Entune couldn't come to an agreement to keep support.
Basically it means Sirius wants more money.

Then improve the bluetooth interface app so we can see available channels as albums and add a damn thumbs up/down, or add Android auto (as it's impossible to add Apple Carplay without a hardware upgrade).

Why would Entune/Toyota focus on anything Pandora related right now, Sirius already showed they are more interested in making money vs. making customers happy. Toyota is not going to spend R&D dollars on this until they can agree with Sirius. Next step, be prepared to lose XM radio.

More apps than Pandora use channels and thumbs up/down. The annoyance is removing a convenience, not removing an app. Yes I can listen to my Pandora App via bluetooth, but I have to touch my phone for any "Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down" and I have to touch my phone to change channels, which was available in other ENTUNE versions (4Runner actually has a channel up/down button on the steering wheel). Fiddling with your phone is a distraction and illegal unless you are stopped on the side of the Road in most states.

Generally, people that use this line are the least enjoyable people to be around at a party.

I can’t help but to think this holds true in your case.

i liked the pandora app when it worked because it auto started and i didn't have to think about it. i just had good music i liked.

now, the native apps that have any value is just iheart and slacker. i messed with iheart and it's fine, but doesn't auto start.

plus when i leave my house, when my phone switches from wifi to cell for data, entune just hangs.

also i still get the dumb prompt on my phone that entune wants to connect.

Is there really going to be an integrated coffee maker, and if so, can I update my 2017 Entune so I can use it?

My 2018 has it. Apparently it makes a cup if you swerve out of your lane too much. However, I have not been able to find where the coffee is dispensed. The manual was of no help, and yesterday the officer that pulled me over could not understand that I was just trying to get my truck to make some coffee.

In my case, it still works better than sync, but I still don't like it very much.

I'm having a hard time believing it's a hardware issue. Mazda is offering to update head units with Apple CarPlay for vehicles as far back as 2013.
