Finishing up year 35.
6 weeks between vacation and personal days and I'm maxed out. Been maxed out for a while.

By rights I can retire anytime I want, but that's only pension. Still have another year and a half to tap into my 401 and a couple more to take SS at 62.
But,but ,but...
I'm so ready right now.

 

Is this one of those times that it's OK to say "it'll be here sooner than you think"?!?!

Yes Nuno, your friend gets a very nice pension. I missed out on the pension program by the 2 years I was a temp. before I got hired.
In 2 more years I lock in retiree healthcare bene's, so I just remind myself of that long view when days like today happen.
Today was 9:30am - 11:30pm. Long day. Rest of the week might not be so long, I hope. Back hurt so bad at the end of the day I actually used my hand to help my leg onto the gas pedal for the drive home. LOL - 2 more years! (and maybe finally some back surgery next year. - Yeah good insurance!)

Good morning everyone. New tires come this Thursday. Made an appointment at my local shop to have them mounted and balanced, and to have them look at my heater. Ever since the dealer did my 90k service (plugs, coolant flush, etc,) it takes my truck forever to blow hot air on a cold day. And at stoplights when the engine is not running hard, the air temp drops to lukewarm. Brought it back to them last year, and they couldn’t find anything wrong with it. I delt with it last year, but it’s starting to get cold again and I want normal heat. These guys did some good work for me earlier this year on my 2500hd; hopefully they can figure it out since the stealership couldn’t...

 

You need a new thermostat. I would buy and do it yourself, it should be cheap and easy.
Haven't done 1 on a tacoma yet but iv done several others.

 

My Z3 had heat that would scald your hand. After a tuneup the heat never got better than summer desert breeze. They couldn't figure out what, tried to bleed it again, just couldn't get better & wasn't bad enough to keep pushing it. Then one cold day I had scalding heat - checked the radiator & it was low. There was an air bubble somewhere in the system, maybe in the heater core that finally burped itself out. Maybe you've got (a) bubble(s) stuck in the system too.

Charter Oak Brewery Trivia Night: Repeal Day

In 1933, the U.S. repealed the 18th Amendment that prohibited the sale and purchase of alcohol. In recognition of that event, the Danbury Library will host its second trivia night with brain-bending trivia about "Repeal Day" at the Charter Oak Brewery (Danbury, CT).
Come by to check out the brewery starting at 5:00 pm and the game will begin at 6:00 pm. Get your team of up to six players together or play solo. Beverages, non-alcoholic and alcoholic, will be available for purchase. Light snacks will be provided, while supplies last, courtesy of the FRIENDS of the Danbury Library. Players can also bring along food to snack on while playing. We hope you can join us!
