I'm still trying to find a single Big 12 team that "blew out" a ranked non conference team.

 

Alabama has tried to. Started with Michigan, USC, then FSU last year, Wisconsin was in there a few years ago.

 

Where there any SEC big12 games this year we can use as a super rudimentary measurement in this? Or common opponent?

 

Common opponent is somewhat transitive. Doesn't work.

WVU played Tennessee to open the season, but they still need a year or 20 to get out from the expectations of their fan base to succeed.

 

yeah and VANDERBILT beat Tennessee just as bad as WVU did. so sure...we can say WVU = Vanderbilt

OU SOS 15th

Now who is undefeated in that bunch? Bama. So even if they lose this weekend they just join OU and OSU as one-loss team. Even with one loss their SOS is stronger. All three have top five offense but the real indicator is the defense ranking:

Bama Defense 6th
OSU Defense 67th
OU Defense 111th

In ever facet Bama is a better team

They won't lose to UGA this weekend

I very much dislike the Big 12. I’m still pissed we ended up there and not in the SEC over Mizzou, and thus got a coach that can’t get a team ready or recruit depth to save his damn life.
