Either buy this and crank it or get two fully charged car batteries link them in series and use jumper cables with a stick welding rod to really send the fucker home, way cheaper and will totally do this job if its gonna be done

Now is a good time to learn. I’d skip the cheapo Harbor Freight/Chicago Electric branded line and splurge for a Lincoln at Home Depot or even a Hobart Handler if you can swing it.

I’ve heard good things about Harbor Freight’s Vulcan Line. You’ll want a MIG, although you’d probably be using flux core for now.

Lots of people in this thread know more about welding than I do. But that’s my advice to you.

I regret buying that cheapo Lincoln Electric 120v machine to learn on.

If I were to teach myself how to weld again, I would’ve swung for a better welder initially than a cheap 120v unit.

Cheap and effective especially for this kinda thing where you really want to put some heat into that bolt, way more power in that than any mig welder under $700 haha

I’m very close to arc welding the positive wire to the horns when I test them with a car battery. Spark it puts off when you contact them is insane.
