If Clemson loses by 1 to Pittsburgh, do you think Clemson deserves to be in over Oklahoma or Ohio State?

 

Would they be a 1 lose team?

I haven't contradicted myself at all actually. I've argued that timing of losses matters, and it should. You're arguing that they shouldn't.

Not when they haven’t played anyone all year except LSU who just got rung up for 72 (and more in regulation than even almighty Alabama) by TEXAS A&M.

I like Alabama and Nick Saban, but give me a damn break. Lose a game, especially when you’ve played jack shit all year (blow those phony ass SOS rankings), you’re out. There’s a reason Tua isn’t playing 4Q, the competition sucks. I’ll give credence to Alabama’s defense, but half that dudes passes are to wide open WRs. Do it against UGA and I’ll be sold.

He’s going to win the Heisman too, and I also think that’s a crock of shit. I don’t think he’s better than Murray or Grier one bit.

Oklahoma gets in over Ohio State if they win. Ohio State’s lone loss is way worse on optics.

Just following here and no research done, but why not just play district/conference opponents only during reg season then conference champs play a bracket playoff just like the high schools or NFL (minus ranks and bye weeks) it's simple win or lose no questions.

I don't believe what I was typing haha. I think Clemson loses they're out. Alabama loses, they're out. Georgia loses, they're out. Notre Dame, sit on your ass, you're in, we'll call you Bama Jr.

 

Honestly, internally I still haven’t decided if I feel the four should be best 4 of the moment or over the season. Looking back at my statements of “1 lose gets you in” and idea of the conference affiliation based on performance, I think I’m leaning heavy on best 4 of season. I’d have to say yes, but I have to admit it doesn’t fit my narrative of playoffs start championship week. I’m conflicted and I can admit it.
I really feel we need to look outside the box on rankings and I truely feel the only way we’ll have a halfway decent answer are fluid conferences.

I just hate Pitt and that should never be joked about I’ll never ever forget those ass clowns for beating us in 2007 when we were 1,000 point favorites and we blew it for a chance to crush Ohio State in the BCS title game. Instead we humiliated Oklahoma in the Fiesta, but WVU may never a title in my lifetime
