Never heard about the Porsche mod

 

Stock shock finally kicked the bucket after 180,000 miles. Icons on the way

 

Luckily it was what @Blackdawg said and just the small 10mm bolt at the bottom that was lose

 

Common to LT builds.

Mine comes loose more often than Id like..

 

Will have to remember that

 

I honestly never noticed that bolt till yesterday. But yeah that good to know it’s something simple.

You get the 2.0s with reservoirs or without? If it has the resi's, be very mindful of how you mount them since they're supposed to clamp onto the shock body piggyback style...watch where the resi's are in relationship to your leaf springs when they flex - one of mine got knicked by my leaf spring clamp bolts and I got lucky it didn't puncture the metal body

 

I've got a set of these. They're super handy for removing the C clip at the end of the axle.

So I could do this



Then I replaced this cable so now my temp control works on the dash





Moved my ScanGauge while I was there



And relocated the light bar switch from the fuse box cover to the dash so I stop turning the damn thing on with my knee and not realize it.



Going to see a local fabricator about sliders and a bed rack later this afternoon. RTT is in my near future.

What was wrong with the cables? thinking I might have to do this. I replaced the switch for the fan blower and had to pull most of that out. Ever since my heater valve doesn't want to open or close fully with the lever. Fine for now as I just opened the hood and pushed it to leave it on full hot as it is winter.

Yes, but the inner boot tore on the other one about 3 weeks later.

 

The original cable was basically frozen. No amount of lube or working it would get it to stop sticking. The new cable works awesome.

Part number for that cable is 55907-35040 - Control Cable. Cost $12.94, I got it from TRDShop.com

 

Hmm mine still move. Just seems they are loose or something.
