What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Make sure the cable is attached to the heater valve properly and clipped in place still. If that's good, then you might have to make sure all the cables are properly clipped on the controls in the dash.

 

So hard to fuck that up I can't imagine I would have. But worth a look I suppose.

 

Agreed. But if the cable end didn't clip in all the way or if the plastic retainers broke or something, that might explain why they aren't working. The cable sleeve needs to be secure at both ends for the cable to work right.

 

It can be kinda tough to get them all adjusted on the older models though with 4 cables. They have a bit of room for error

 

I think those are a pain in the dick.

With. I was thinking about that earlier but hadn't considered the leaf spring clamp bolts, thanks. I was thinking of clamping it onto the side. (Looking at the wheel it would be to the side closer to the rear of the truck). Granted I haven't had a free second to crawl under the truck and actually look around

 

just something to be mindful of, the hose that connects the resi to the shock is pretty stiff and isn't all that easy to manipulate so it sort of limits where the resi can mount as a piggy back. It's totally doable to make it clear the leafs just have to be careful about it.

Saw someone on here mounted the resi's off the shock body and to the underside of the bed, thought that was pretty cool

Was there any noise?

 

For what it's worth my power steering pump made almost the same sound after I replaced it, it got quieter after a few days and does not make any noise now.

 

Mine did it the most when I first started it, after it warmed up it went away and finally it all went away.

Haha I would love too. He has to sell it first..and for cheap because I'd have to get a new ecu to make it work..and rebuilt it sounds like which I've done before.
