    We took the Tacoma out on its first real trail run and it did quite well. The trail is very mild but fun for a stocker. It criss-crosses a creek 9 times and during spring runoff it gets up to 2.5' deep. The trail goes to the Great Sand Dunes national park. While you can't drive on the dunes themselves, the trail does turn to deep sand. The only issue of the day was the Jeep that came with us broke his electric fan blades due to the high water.

    I love Medano Pass. Unfortunately it's still on fire. Correct me if I'm wrong but the fire was blazing on June 6th, was it not?

    The fire started on the 6th. We noticed some smoke as we were leaving but didn't think much of it.
