1st gen rock light help

I'm thinking of rigging up some rock lights on my truck, and havent seen to many 1st gens with these lights. Does anyone have any pics of there setup, and could anyone give me any pointers of how you'd wire it up.? Thanks

When I get around to doing mine, I was planning on using something like http://www.oznium.com/high-intensity-led-floodlight (water proof, leds, and they really do output a good amount of light)

I'm really not sure if I'd have to run 2 per wheel or not though, as looking at the above pic, it almost seems like you'd need to, which would get pretty expensive quick. Maybe I'll have to think about something like http://www.oznium.com/prewired-superflux and figure out some method to make them stay in place.

As far as overall wiring goes, I was thinking of just running a power line to each wheel well and running both leds off that. With so many connections and such, I will probably be doing a relay, although I'm not sure if its really needed. I'll have to do some amp measurements before anything. I will have a switch in the cab to control when they turn on though.

 

I was actaully planning on just using Walmart lights (mainly becuase they are cheap), but now am reconsidering using the lights on Amazon.

 

Ya, those do look pretty nice. Since I saw it, I've been thinking about it myself as well. Only real concern is all the reviews seem to complain about them not being waterproof. Probably not a big deal, but since everyone seems to mention it, it makes you wonder.

 

Have you looked at the govee rock lights? I've had them in my Amazon cart for almost a year now because I've been upgrading the structural components before I dive fully into cosmetics, but they seemed decent especially with an 8-pack coming at under 100$
