Laine scores 5 goals on 5 shots the other night and some lucky bastard gets a million $ for Safeway score and win. Can’t imagine how much higher they’ll have to raise prices to cover paying that guy off lol

I would guess they have an insurance policy to cover the risk of a win. Lots of companies do that. It’s how podunk golf courses can afford to host $100,000 hole in one events.

Some local golf tourneys I've been in had 10000 buck hole in one challenges. I think it cost 1000 for the policy. Dont exactly remember the numbers.

Can we start saying this team is "scary" good now?! I read that Rick said it last night. Stupid NHL Center Ice only had the SJ feed on, which I watched, but come on! Game was IN BUFFALO. This team is fun to watch.

Yeah he did say that, a bit premature IMHO.

It was fun to hear him say that, but I think that should be saved for the post season. The team is definitely fun to watch.

Can't say that at this point. Dude had like over 60pts and 30 goals last year (or something like that. Too lazy to look). And he's been good this year. I'd rather have him at that price with what he does, than Kovalchuk at his price, with what he does, honestly.

What’s scary is when TO has Matthews healthy and Babcock rolls the Marner-Matthews-Tavares line on the power play.

Holy shit did three Buffalo fans come out of the closet just today? In all seriousness though it is good to see that team start to recover from what’s been a bit of a trainwreck since the runs they had with Miller in net. I’m still a little concerned about all the close games they are winning. Their goal differential is far below Toronto and Tampa and it’s funny how often goal differential equates to finishing position at the end of the season. Still, definitely never say never with a young motivated team.
