At $800 option, no thanks, plus it is ugly.

It’s cool if you going to race a Raptor in the desert I guess.

Question is, are you going to race that nice Pro in dusty conditions?

Well, see... This is a problem that only a good credit card can solve!

I prefer being smart with my money . Credit card isn't enough need that line of credit against the house lol

Bumper and winch come spring . Problem is the tires were bought the day I picked up the truck . So they're still stock size only for the winter . The 33s go on for spring/summer/fall .

But trucks come a long way. Just looks stupid now with such small boring tires lol
I don't like doing any mods on credit. Cash only.

I'm financially irresponsible enough with the money I spend on the truck, putting it on credit would just be dumb

If it’s a manual, I’ll make you a sweet deal and trade you trucks straight up for mine without a desert air intake.

Might have been said, but they snorkel has a tag on it that says you can't take it through a car wash.

Also, if you know how to water cross you don't need that stupid thing, and for dust, your standard air filter is just fine.

Depends on depth. If water is over the wheel you risk pulling water in.

Long story short ... I searched for some more PROs in Oregon and actually found a brand new 2018 Calvary blue for about 4K less than the one I was going to purchase, and was able to pick it up tonight. I sacrificed my color (white) but liked Calvary blue too, and missed out on the sunroof. I use "sacrificed" very loosely. Really happy it was discounted so heavily 43,250.

I just couldn’t do the air intake. The dealer also had a voodoo blue pro with the air intake and it is just as bad in person.

I just saw a 4Runner this morning with an ugly ass snorkel on it and I couldn’t help but think how much of a try-hard Poser someone looks with one of those things. Even if you somehow need to ford a river every week, it still just looks ridiculous driving around town.

I actually have 2 rivers to Ford in order to get to my house. Does that mean I can have one? Actually, 2 snorkels... One on each side. 1 per river.

The fording depth of a Tacoma, like any modern gasoline truck, is governed by the location of fuse boxes and electronics in the engine bay and behind the firewall, as well as the ignition system.

Don’t know if you fellas with sealed snorkels think you can drive with the water up to your spark plugs, but you can’t. One area where a Diesel engine is a better option.

Anyways......the snorkel on any Tacoma makes most sense for dust. Maybe it might help you out in some scenario where you drop suddenly into a deep puddle, but if the water enters your engine bay, your motor is stopping, snorkel or not.

I don’t live in a dusty place, but there is so much hate for the TRD snorkel I think I might get one. I like to root for the underdog.
