2009 doesn't have a readout so I do pretty simple math every now and then at fill up. :D:p

With no tune yes but depends on the size - the bigger/wider the tire the more dramatic the drop. It will drop and the drop is more dramatic if you sit in a ton of stop and go traffic as it takes more to get these taller heavier tires moving. You will notice it around town and on the highway at least at altitude since your 2 over drive gears just got even taller. But these tires have been great for me so far in Colorado, Utah.

I believe my biggest reason for the MPG drop is the weight of my much larger tire. It is a lot of unsprung weight.

From 42lbs per tire to 58 lbs

If you have a mavis near you go talk to them. They must have a lot of wiggle room on price, depending on who wants to. I was told 230 each at first then he said let me see what i can do , ended up 680 ish out the door, dismounted(had set of tires n rims off the truck)mounted, balanced, stems, taxes, enviromental fees(used tires) they were 255/85 16.

Done! 255/85r16s! $1300 dollars for 7 (yes, 7 - I had to get a matching pair for my teardrop!) mounted and balanced. Rolls quiet and smooth!

I found mine were quiet until about the 2,000-3,000 mile mark. They hum pretty good but nothing like a true mud tire though.

Quiet is relative of course. These are much better than the worn out BFG ATs that they replace. I'm not new to the ST Maxx experience, this is just the first set for this Tacoma

God knows never change the direction of rotation on these tires. The dealer did in my 2 fronts when they did an alignment and the wore funny. I changed them back with this last rotation and they are finally starting to quiet down a little. I may go get those 2 balanced and see if tgat helps at all

Never had that problem. Ive always crossed the fronts to the back on rotations. The two sets on the tundra wore flat and even. Hopefully these will do the same
