That is a nice lamp.
Only reason I decided to bury mine is I have an inadequate light source and all my cacti and succulents have that space.
I’m confident she will come back smiling.
Ever grow anything in grow sacks/ bags?
I will put my tomatoes in those this summer. You can get them big(10-15 gals) and they’re reusable and cheaper than plastic pots.
Plants will not swelter and will get more of a natural drainage.

We have very different takes on what fun is. Watching some push a piece of wood under a car for a minute didn't move the needle for me.

I've used lights like that, they do work well with some types of plants, but they are different from the regular light your plants might be used to. I have a few plants like a jade and basil that don't react super well to these type lights. Maybe I didn't adjust them to it slowly enough, or maybe I had too much on them, not really sure.

My friend's just went on a buying spree for these bottles. They wound up with a full room of this stuff.. how limited are they?

 

I'm not sure how limited they are but they are listed as limited edition.

They used some decent distilleries so I figure they'll be pretty good and I'm a fan of the shows so pretty much a win win

 

Those Japanese whiskies are a hot commodity. You got anything sitting in your mini barrel thing?

 

Unfortunately I don't - just water to keep it from drying out. I have some Makers Mark that I put into it for a month that is sitting in a bottle on my bar... I don't drink much anymore so I stopped making it. I do still collect though.

 

If you see Old Pulteney u should try, not that expensive either but it's 1 of my favorites.

 

All this talk of whiskeys, I plan to try and grab a nice bottle of something (not sure what) in a couple weeks the day my son is born so I can keep the receipt with it and open it on his 21st birthday

 

I'd recommend something fairly mild-mannered like a good mainstream bourbon or Irish whiskey; if you douse him in a super-peaty scotch or a really strong-flavored small-batch Rye for his 21st he's probably not going to think it's a great gift
