Standing. I don't have the technique down. I'm sure i can do better if I did it more. One of the girls that was there said she could do 195 clean and jerk. She had the technique down. I was still trying to strict press/push press. It wasn't solid. I Just need more practice.

I’ve taken a month off from doing anything. Longest break (besides back surgery) since 2012. Needed to heal up some nagging issues with tennis elbow and GI problems thanks to Afghanistan. Ready to get back after it in a few days.

He's very conceded. Every social media post is an "attack" to other in general. He actually posted once and said he was the king of soul collecting and if he catches you looking at him through the mirror he will consume your soul.................................. That is some shit.

    He's just messed up (IMO).

Just the one guy, and it was just never ending bashing... "You can't lift as much as me" "Only skinny people look like you" "Your clothes aren't made in america" "You use roids" "You walk around like you own the place" "Your gf is stupid" "Do you even lift bro?" "Dodge trucks are stupid" I mean I could go on all day about it. It's just petty, highschool drama bull shit. Grow up.

Also... I hate the internet. It's a double edged sword, so much information out there yet so much misinformation. I'm battling some issues with my lower body that are greatly impacting my squatting ability. In my attempts to not be a bitch, use it as an excuse to not squat I am trying to diagnose the issue and properly fix it. It's mainly mobility issues but I've found so much information on how to stretch things such as hip flexors, groin area and such. Sometimes it feels like my hips need a good snap crackle and pop but I can never get them to pop!

So you don’t feel you have an injury but just ROM issues that are preventing you from utilizing proper form at a certain weight when squatting?

My "injury" per say is caused by my ROM issues which causes me to use piss poor form to compensate for my poor ROM. For instance, I attempted to body weight squat yesterday just to get some blood flowing but as I was doing it and trying to do it properly I noticed significant tightness in my groin area almost right where the hip flexor comes over and connects (after looking at it on a anatomy chart). After doing some brief research on the YouTubes and the Interwebs it looks like that's also what could be causing my lower back pain after working out is poor hip flexor ROM and strength.

Sounds like you need to do mobility work and try and get your hips to open up more. A hip circle may become your best friend. I use one every leg day abs just walking with it on makes a hell of s difference.

I don't have a hip circle but I've got a small band that would work the same away. Any particular drills / mobility work you'd recommend?

Air squats, lunges, he’ll just put it on your ankles and walk with your legs as far apart as possible.

Having mobility issues in my lower body and lower back for years contributing to and as a result of injuries, its been drilled into my head by my PTs that stretching in order to improve flexibility needs to be done several times per day (4+).
    Something not everyone realizes.

If you have the means it might be worth a trip to a PT for a quick diagnosis and set of stretches and exercises to do then you just continue it on your own.

I’m having hip issues so I’m gonna check out that hip circle and ask my PT about it.

Hope you get healed up fast.

If you find out any helpful stuff please share. It seems like several of us have some hip troubles.

There is many healthy forms of food, especially for tacos. At the end of the day, calories in vs calories out is what makes your six pack visible. Track your food and stay consistent and don't expect this to be a race, because fitness is the farthest thing from a race. This takes time, effort, consistency. This takes a LIFESTYLE change. I ate all kinds of great food and was extremely lean. I still enjoy my food now and I am about 10# heavier, but I still carry a perfect lighting six pack (bad lighting it is not there lol).
