What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I'd buy that SSO if it didn't have the bull bar. That annoys me for some reason.

 

Added meso LED turn signals.

 

Direct plug and play swap. The hardest part was finding a place to mount the ballasts, for which I ended up using the supplied double sided tape to mount them to the inner fenders. Install the bulb, plug in to the stock wiring harness, plug in the ballast, and connect the bulb to the ballast, done. I went with XenonDepot because their ballasts don’t require a relay; they draw up to 8.5 amps (at startup only) and the stock headlight fuse is 10 amps. The whole install took me an hour, including unboxing and cleaning the bulbs.

 

i just ordered xenon depot leds, wish i would have known i would have gone with HID.... I have been using Xenondepot for the last 14 years, but always ran relays.

 

Just wanted to chime in and say I miss this forum. I sold my Tacoma and got a 18 Accord for a long commute and a 05 Tundra DC for everything else. I’m on tundras.com and an Accord forum but I have never seen a forum near as active, helpful, and filled with knowledge. I’m at the same monthly price with both as I was with the Tacoma but this place sucks you in!

Give them a call and see if they will make you one without the bar.

I just put my Blizzaks back on in time for the first snow! I love snow tires...

 

Yea, I figured it would be a pain. Looks like I may just paint it. I have some seat covers on the way, so when those come in I will match up the color with some paint. Thank you.

 

They have an option for the same bumper without the bar

 

Mine are already mounted on stock steel wheels and will be swapped out next week. Love my Blizzaks! Hands down the best tire I've ever run on snow.

I mounted mine on my stock sport wheels. I got Method Roost in bronze for my summer set! My truck is a commuter so no big offroady tires here!

 

They are plug and play and are excellent lights, however, the passenger side high beam requires a slight mod to the collar. That one housing is not oriented correctly. I had to take the 2 screws out of the bulb collar and drill new holes in the collar to make the beams sit at 3:00 and 9:00. It is easy to do but other brands are made to adjust the collar easier. At $90 per pair on Amazon I still think they are a great bulb and value.

Once I got everything sealed and painted it looks like nothing was done at all which is pretty much the point.

 

Yesterday I added the Dashtop Multi-Mount. Pretty stoked about it, now I just need ideas for cool shit to mount to it other than my phone. lol.

 

Did a few things over the weekend. Got some flag magnets from @tact.ilian. Got an NC one and American. Also put a new pro grill on “in the process of painting the letters quicksand”. And installed some raptor lights from yotaled which were crazy easy to install. And took the from valence off the bottom front
