Well, at the moment nothing is wrong with them. Same goes for my LBJ’s but I’m replacing them anyway. Preventative maintenance is all.

With OEM LBJ’s I should add.

The Teflon shims? I remember ready about it, I just didn’t remember who said it.

Are they specifically made for this purpose? Weird how they’d destroy themselves from normal use.

What I did probably wouldnt be deemed normal use by the mfg lol. They did fine on the road (which is what theyre made for), got destroyed once they hit the trails. I may just jam some bicylce inner tube under my AAL and hope it stays this winter. I dont plan on wheeling again till next year.

I should reaaaalllly get an alignment.

Since the last alignment like, maybe 12 years ago, the truck has been converted to 4WD, brand new suspension all around, new aftermarket UCA’s, and once I find the time, new LBJ’s.

I threw my truck on the alignment rack at my auto tech school. Didn’t adjust anything, but I got the printout. I can’t find the alignment sheet for the life of me, but here’s a picture of when I was trying to figure out how to use the Hunter machine.

Coated the bushings with it. Any sort of lube wont do anything when the leafs themselves are causing the squeak. Been there, tried that.

I can’t bring it to any alignment shop either. Seems like only the speciality shops know how to adjust the SPC’s.

Think I was quoted about $200 by a very reputable 4x4 shop.

Surely someone in Cali knows a shop that can do it

The ‘99 is the rusty one right?

How’s the frame on it, safe to drive?

    What?

Just have them do an alignment. They don't have to do shit to the SPCs. You should have put them at like +2º and called it a day.

Yeah. I got the recommendation from a member on here. It’s a local 4x4 shop in San Jose.

I plan on taking it there once I get the LBJ’s done. There is some bad negative camber since I didn’t adjust the SPC’s properly. Drives fine, but can’t be good for my tires.

I was talking to some local members and stated some chain shops downright refused an alignment because of the aftermarket control arms and lift.

Have any pics? Curious what it looks like.

I remember you talking about the windshield leaking.

Sure some do. But a lot won't give a shit. You barely have lift. Just take it there and tell them to align it. If they won't they will tell you after getting it on the rack. PITA but plenty of places will do it. Most places don't care about a little lift its LT that they won't touch usually.

Don't go off what others always say if you haven't even tried it..

It's less Tacoma and more mod
It's not even vacuum assisted, it just bypasses air around the throttle body to idle up the engine under non moving steering so you don't lug it just turning at idle
