I don’t think I ever want to bring my truck to Firestone after seeing how they treated @Jamesboy2233 ’s truck

You're forgetting I live in Nazi Germany and everything is overpriced. The dealer quoted my neighbor $800 to do the spark plugs on a Toyota Sienna.

Over the old saggy stock suspension. So I have no idea how high it truly is lifted in relation with the proper stock height of the PreRunner.

It is quite high though. I have to throw my legs into the cab and grab onto the handle to get inside. My mother actually hates riding in it because it’s such a struggle to get inside.

My mom is the same way with the Taco and the LC, I'm like the LC is sagged hardcore over 25 years it can't get any lower. I bump pulling into parking lots FFS.

Thats normal. My buddy was quoted $700 for his Transverse V6 Optima. Took me 4 hours with $100 in parts to change them and some other things while I was in there.

You should see the front bumper of the E320 haha. That’s how we know when we’re pulled all the way into the parking space, you hear the fiberglass scraping against the concrete stop.

Did the LC have hydraulic suspension like other luxury SUV’s of the era?

I can understand why it’s so expensive. I did the job with him. Took us almost a week. Traverse engines are truly horrible to work on.

I think @Empty_Lord ’s dealer charges a fraction of that. What’s the price on the 1MZ plugs again?

I’m sure it depends on the dealer. My local dealer pulled a Fargo TruCoat on me and tried to overcharge me for the weatherstripping on the window. I was about to hang up and then he said “WAIT! I’ve been authorized to charge you xx amount.”

Went down in price $20 per side. I paid the assholes because It’s about what eBay was charging at that point.

A week? Damn you work slow. Hardest part is the 3 or 4 bolts behind the plenum, once those are out, its one two bar-b-q. The optima 2.7 is very similar to the 3mz/1mz in terms of procedure and I took 4 hours, and thats me working slowly.

He worked and I was in school. We did it for 1-2 hours everyday.

We both really didn’t know what we were doing.

Nope, even as they started to get fancier in the 90s the LC was first and foremost about reliability and longevity. Hydraulics and airbags never last, but coil springs and big can shocks are easily changed to fully refresh it. I already ordered kings for it.... I have a problem

Firestone won’t touch my truck anyway. They get scared when I mentioned I have aftermarket suspension and a lift.

I wouldn’t trust it with them.

Just some 2.5" Resi shocks with the custom travel #s for the cruiser. It's a common enough vehicle that King makes em to fit it's full range of travel with the stock geometry.

I’ll keep looking. That 4x4 shop I was talking about seemed promising.

Did they ever supercharge that engine? I assume not because of reliability.

There are 4 different SC for it and one turbo. 2 of the SC were TRD offerings
