I don't particularly care for the box look all that much, but i believe as long as they don't price it north of 50k it'll sell pretty well to the Jeep Fan boys, whether or not it'll steal from the Taco fan club i really don't believe so. Would be nice to take my doors and top off though... :)

I think they'll come out to high a price right out of the gate, but they may keep in line with TRD Sport and OR prices. It will not surprise me to see the Rubicon version to be close to 60k.

I've seen the Jeep bruteforce conversion sold at 70k range, might be a data point to consider. But time will tell once they ramp up and mass produce the amount of issues that wranglers keep getting hit with.

I'm figuring it'll start around $35,000 and go up to $50k.

I agree it is everything yous said. If I could afford one the next time my wife needed a car I'd heavily push for this.. But the reliability won't be there so in the end I won't. Plus she's deadset on a Sienna or Pilot next. She said if we don't have a third child by then maybe a Ridgeline lol.

    See my build page!
I actually am looking forward to this. I used to drive a Comanche and thought Jeep really missed the boat on a "truck" line. If they can make a truck with jeep capabilities while keeping it around 40k nicely equipped, then I think they may just have a game changer.

Honestly.. I think it's kinda ugly.

I really like the little knobs on the tailgate that lets you half-lock or half-drop the tailgate for when you're hailing longer items or a motorcycle. I'm going to see if I can do something similar on the Tacoma, but think it might be too low. It's literally a knob and lip you put the wire behind. Check this out!

Yeah.. I'm not really a fan. Although I did like the half-drop feature on the tailgate. Perfect for towing long items or a motorcycle.

You don't think this is seriously going to siphon Tacoma sales? Solid axles, stupid easy to fit 35" tires, stick shift still available in most trims and a diesel on the horizon.

They're gonna sell them by the boat loads.

    B) filled with burritos and pizza slices because it’s a lunch truck

Good news for people who want a midsize diesel alternative to the colorado/canyon. Taking the doors off is cool too.

There's no such thing as setting too high a price in Jeep world, then you add in the 'pickup tax' and some dealer installed accessories/upgrades and POW!
