It's all made in Chiner! Sometimes less is more. I am just not fond of having to run the wiring even though I know that is probly better than dealing with wireless cams and charging batteries all the time or loss of signals.

I will have to check it out. My other issue is I don't have a legitimate ISP at my house. I have to use a Mifi device that is cellular. So there is limited data. I want to look when I want but only record when there is activity. I need 5 cameras to start too. I also want them to be visible and not hidden. I want the criminals to see them.

The charging of batteries will be huge headache. This system will record locally to DVR and wont eat any data if you don't network it.

I'm a fan of their stuff. Bought a couple of their jackets in Oregon, but they're on the thinner side, which is perfect for my office. I'll probably just buy something appropriate when I get there to avoid shipping fees. :D

Being at IT guy and having a brother that does high end home audio I'm pretty good at running wires. It sucks getting in the attic and crawl space but its doable.

Right, add a hood, some fleece and a thinsulate liner and you are there! If you have that, just take a hoodie and wear it under that jacket if it fits, if you need to. Gloves and a hat and you are golden. Of course I wear t shirts and shorts down to 40ish like some of the other guys here so don't listen to me. I have more coats and jackets then any one person should have. Hell I even have one of those Aussie dusters. Had to buy it for a western wedding I was in.

See, that's my problem, the attic. I am not exactly attic eave size. I suppose I could lay plywood down and use a creeper. But I want to mount one camera at the front door. How would I enter the house with that and hide it on the inside in a split foyer. I hate seeing wires.

 Jeeze, what system is that? I know there are some serious ones out there. I want to stay reasonable. Reasonable being no more than $800 for everything.

There's one over here but it's about an hour and a half away. You can imagine my excitement a few years ago going through that town and I saw it. Stopped in on the way back.

That's about the worse shit ever made. :puke:

My wife's mother was at the house once and asked where the Miracle Whip was. I said that shit was at the store where it should be far away from our house. Also GTFO -------->

I'd rather have a wired system but I have 26" of insulation in the attic. I'm not wading through that shit to run wires.

Yea, I'd like to stay financially sane.

The only reason I want this is because in the 17 years we have been there we have never had a problem with package delivery. I ordered a axle seal puller from Amazon and it came in a large mailing envelope. Well, it was supposed to. The envelope was completely open on the entire end. Now, what delivery guy would drop off a open envelope with obviously nothing in it? What would be the point. To be able to say he made the delivery? Naturally Amazon sent a new one. But it just struck me as odd. Some new neighbors moved in back on the farm and I am not accusing them but it is coincidental. They have two younger boys. I was younger once. I know what mischief young boys can get into. We also have a pool (8' deep end) and yes it is enclosed with a fence but I have climbed plenty of fences in my time. I would hate for something to happen to them being unsupervised before their parents get home.

We'd also like to just keep an eye on the place while we were on vacation when we go.
