Wanna see some 3rd Gens on 5100s with 885 coils.....

Need some advice. Went with the HS lift kit- billstien 5100 (set at 0) w/888 coils in the front and progressive AAL in the rear. While I’m super happy with the ride quality and performance. The front has settled much more than I had anticipated. About an inch or so below the rear. Almost looks like factory rake. I want to level it out and was thinking about adjusting it to the 2nd notch (.75) after doing some research it seems that would cause an extremely harsh ride. The alternative is keeping them set where they are an adding a 1”2 spacer above the strut. This of course is what I tried to avoid in the first place and hence why I went with the 5100 lift kit over other options on the market.

My question since it’s a realtivley thin spacer 1/2” would it affect the ride quality/life of the strut or am I better off adjusting the pearch instead? Cheers

 

Use a 1/4" spacer if anything. That is what I have above my nitro chargers with 888s. Truck sits level but cv angles are a little more than I like.

 

So I have a 1/4 spacer already on the driver side, for Taco lean. And it’s still pretty low

 

Where is the spacer? Is it below the coil or on top?? On my nitro charger it is below the coil bucket at the bottom of the coil mount. If it is on top of yours you may need to switch it out and run 1/2" on the driver side and a 1/4" on the passenger side. If that even makes sense.

 

Mine is on top of the coil. How’s the ride with your spacer?

 

I think its fine. If it changed it at all I would be shocked.

 

What do you have your rear 5100's set at?

 

Rear's aren't adjustable. Only a block, add a leaf or new leaf pack will get you lift.

 

Thanks. I've been reading a million threads trying to figure what lift to get for my 2017 double cab 4x4 Sport. It's starting to look like OME 885 or 887 coils with 5100's set at 0 and a 1.5-2" AAL. Sound about right? I'm running 265/70R17's

 

Yep, that sounds about right! Lots of people with that setup. I have a 1" block in the rear of mine.

255/75-17...(32's) Continentals
Went back and forth on wider, taller, both etc. Went with these as reviews are sky hi for ride, mileage and impact of gas mileage for an AT. Had 265/70-17 an these are a much nicer ride and a little better tow capacity.

 

Factory springs and UCA, alignment is perfect. Rides better than the gscfact sport ride. Oh it didn't settle and rides and drives like my neighbors truck with same setup but he is using OME springs. We can't tell any difference. This is a true comparison from real people not a salesman.

 

What do you have your 5100's set at with factory coils?

Are u still running same set up. Do you have a center hub to fender measurement? Truck looks good!

 

I’m scheduled this week to get the same setup installed 5100s 888 ome’s Icon AAL springs.. so you thinking I’m gonna have the same issue?

 

I'm planning on running 5100's with 885 and a 1.5 AAL in the back. Would you guys suggest the ECGS bushing or do you think I could get by without it?
