Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!

Sorry, but that's not an American flag. I dunno' what that is.

    edit> Woops. I stand corrected. That's the American flag between June 15, 1836 and January 26, 1837.

Looked all over the forums for mounting an antenna with a tonneau cover but didn't like what I was finding or I didn't want to add a mount at the tail gate. So real quick the bracket I got is from Tractor supply (pic of the box below). Once I cut it up I bolted it to the square tube with the lock nuts on the inside. Added a spring for shock and the antenna is a 3 ft FireStik Firefly. No Issues so far with bending from highway speeds.

Im in the same boat, I made a nice mount for my antenna, but now I realize that I will be getting a tonneau cover soon and my mount will no longer work. I cant do a taillight as my bed tent would rip on it. Basically, I need the antenna mount to be outside the bed, but needs to be easy to remove when I put the bed tent on.

I guess I could do the tail light mount and just use wing bolts...

    I'm not seeing the problem.

"...but, but, but I've got a roof rack."

So, mount it to one of the side rails of the rack.

Do a Google Image Search for "Tacoma antenna mount". There are dozens of ways to mount an antenna.

I've yet to see a mag mount that didn't scratch the paint. They might exist, just that I've never seen one.

If you have an Ace Hardware or similar store near you they usually have knobs with threaded studs in the hardware section. My Ace had a good selection of styles with std threads in different diameters and stud lengths. I just purchased some yesterday to mount my Harbour Freight Work Platform using rivet nuts to attach it to the inside of my tailgate. Easily removable when I need the tailgate down to haul my kayak. Just a thought.

    Google or search "Clamping Knob"

SpiderTrax spacers, air dam removal, debadged, custom roof rack incoming.
This came out really well and I've been wanting to wrap my trim with 3M's Matrix Black which is hexagonal black vinyl. What brand did you go with here? I wish someone had a video on safely removing these trim pieces, the last thing I want to do is bust a tab off.

Yea, not getting a mag mount, they scratch the paint. No I dont have a roof rack, if I did it wouldn't be a problem because I could mount to that.

Rate the difficulty level in adding a winch later on post-bumper install. I'd like to get the bumper now and winch later, but will do both at same time if the extra hassle is too much.

Ugh I wouldn’t want to undo it all, it can be done but more work. You have to completely pull it off. FBFEC7C4-2236-4F7E-B26C-F4CC8023E6CA.jpg

Really not too much of difficult work: remove grill - install winch. Some extra work involved depending on winch choice. Warn is the best but some extra work and adaptation required. Never go wrong with the best.
