True. Both beautiful states though, I've been wanting to go to New River Gorge area.

New River Gorge is amazing. I would love to go whitewater rafting down there again sometime.

Rafted and canoed the New River many many times. Sadly, there's no where to wheel in WV any closer than 2+ hours from me. At that distance RRG wins every time, being about 30 minutes from Rush makes going to pay parks suck even worse.

I think I want to just buy a state. Tennessee should be fairly cheap, right?

I don't think they pay taxes...so it can go only 2 ways. Cheap or absurdly expensive.

They have a pretty high sales tax (11 or 12%) and income tax, just no property taxes. That's why everything seems expensive when we go there. But, if you live there you make out like a bandit.

I think you could probably buy a ranch in Texas the size of TN... In TN sales tax is 9.25%, no state income tax, and I received my property taxes in the mail.

Ah I had it backwards! No income but property taxes. I know of a lot of people at the shop I work at retire to TN because its beautiful and they say they pay less in taxes. Hell Ohio is catching up to you guys in sales tax we're up to 7.25% where I live (5.75% of it is state, the rest is county and city).

For the record, I did driveway alignments before we drove home since Black Mountain eats your cams alive, nothing actually broke. Good times, I'll upload pics later too
