@OVTune What about flashing from tune 91 octane to 87 octane or future 1.05. Do I have to go back to stock first?

    Thanks.

I’m assuming Matt’s just covering his bases by recommending to flash back to stock prior to having the TSB installed by the dealer. Am I tight in that assumption?

I just rolled in and the TSB was installed over 104... hope I didn’t screw something up

I just did the same thing... I was on 1.04 and had the dealer flash over it. I too hope everything is OK.

My dealer did test drive my truck to confirm the issues in the TSB. Initially they didn't want to do it but I persisted and they budged.

Flashing back to stock might make it easier for the dealer to notice the bad shifting and stumbling so they don't give you the run around.

I went ahead and ordered a URD tundra throttle body adapter.

Waiting to find a good OEM throttle body on eBay.

Had I read Mat’s advice prior to having the TSB installed, I would have flashed back to stock before having my dealer install the TSB.
Instead I drove to my dealer 1000 miles ago and had the TSB installed over the top of 1.04 91 octane and have experienced no issues.

Hey all, unfortunately (fortunately kinda?) I didn't make it through to 1.05s release and traded my taco for an IS350 today.

I've got a Dongle kit OVTune with the older style case for sale. Obviously you'll still have to pay Matt for a license, but I'm selling it for $250 OBO. Please pm me if you're interested, PayPal only.

Thanks again Matt for making the truck a lot more tolerable while I owned it!

I didn’t flash first and got the TSB done with zero issues

I flashed the TSB myself over 1.04 and thought I bricked my ECU.

I’m nearly certain that it was the system voltage.

But I couldn’t successfully flash the TSB until I was back on stock B02

Sinc the TSB I have flashed to 1.04r and back to the TSB and then back to 1.04R because I wanted to see the difference between the two. 1.04r definitly has more pep

Any chance 1.05 can disable the VSC?? Or at least use the button to turn it on when needed instead of turn it off? Or has anyone found a way to do that? @OVTune

I don’t think he can legally do that, disabling a safety system in a car? That’s a massive lawsuit waiting to happen

Yeah I guess, what happened to driving your vehicle instead of your vehicle driving you?

You may be a perfect driver, but the rest of us that aren’t really appreciate the improvements in safety and technology.

I will probably take the plunge if/when a handheld unit comes out.
Since going to 33" tires... mine could use some help in the upper gears. 6th gear is pointless. (even on stock tires) Not sure why it was ever put in the truck.

I may be onboard for the twin turbo kit too... as my wife starts a new job in 2 weeks, doubling her salary. :spending:

Alright, I guess the option to have or not would be nice. I’m not a perfect driver and I’m sure that if it were an option, a good amount of dudes would prefer to have the option to disable it and enable it when they pleased.

This could be totally unrelated to this thread but also if everything else is being looked at, why not this?

It’s only disabled under 25mph and only temporarily. And still, the throttle will pulsate whenever the rear tires slip. Thanks though
