As busy as I am with work these days, a few co-workers and I took some time to make a trip down to the PINS for some fishing this past weekend. Had a great time, caught a lot of fish including my first stingray. Both our rigs did fantastic in the sand and the weather was perfect. Always enjoy going to the PINS for some fishing and camping.

Back home from the PINS with all the gear loaded down on the rig.

Maintenance Day. Changed oil at 170,733 and greased all my zerks. First time I've had trouble removing the oil filter. My tool was crushing the filter and I couldn't get enough bite on it after a few try's. I was forced to run a long screw driver through the filter in order for it to turn. I always lube the filter with oil and only hand tighten it before installing so this took me by surprise today.

Rotated and balanced tires this past weekend at 171,763 miles. Very happy with my BFG K02's. They have been an excellent tire and will certainly buy another set when that time comes.

Been a while since i've had an update. Been extremly busy with work.

Ordered an awning for my truck. Went with the Tepui 6' Awning in Green to match my Tepui RTT which is also green.

Also I have been working on our Overland Trailer which I co-own with a very good friend of ours. We installed the Alu-Cab awning this past weekend which mounts direclty to the Alu-Cab tent. I love this awning. It doesn't require any poles unless in winds over 30 MPH. The Trailer is a workin progress but this addition really added to it.

Nice build buddy! Not sure if you were at the last COTA in October, but there were a couple that looked like yours.

@WebberLander , OK, I saw SIMILAR trucks. That finish is awesome. Wish someone would have done that to poor Little Big Red when she was a baby! For the miles you have, it truly shows what one owner care can do. I am a fourth, and picked this up as a retirement pickup, found Tacoma World, got retired early, stumbled on to TTC, and now I am desperately not trying to :spending: !!

Hope to see you at a meet soon. Oh, took me FAR to long to figure out "PINS" - duh. One of my favorite places in life. I have hauled every vehicle I've owned in Texas (I think) to the 5 mile marker. Love that place. LBR will be down there sometime next year for some beauty shots.

I appreciate the kinds words. I hope to get out to CnC in December. Hope to meet you in person and enjoy the Taco Scenery!

I love the PINS. I wish I could go there every weekend to fish. Now that I have a vehicle capable of going to mile marker 60 I can't get enough of it.

My awning came in! I couldn’t resist installing it as soon as I got settled in today at home. It was the easiest install thanks to my @CBI Offroad Fab Prinsu Cab Rack. It took 10 mins after I unpacked it from the box. I am going to upgrade the bolts it came with before I hit any trails to heavier duty ones and have the L brackets powder coated to match the rest of the rack but I am very pleased.

Have some new parts coming in; hopped on the the @Dobinsons Mike Snorkel deal thanks to my fellow TTC members ( @rjbiii & @MattCowsmasher ) for letting me know about it. Thank you guys!!

Also picked up an ARB diff breather since I’m adding water protection to my rig. Snorkel will be installed by @Texoma at the Triple C Chop Shop; the diff breather I will tackle myself. Found a great write up on installing it behind the driver’s side tail light.

Spent the afternoon detailing the rig. Was going to perform some paint correction, but have been a little under the weather so stopped short of pulling out the DA Polisher. I did however clay bar the paint, sealed all the metal parts (Prinsu rack, Voodoo Rack), sealed the glass and applied a top coat of Opti-Seal over the base Opti-Gloss that is still holding up. I also cleaned and dressed the wheel wells, wheels and tires as well.

Not too shabby for a 2011 with a 174,800 miles. I will for sure be doing some paint correction this coming spring at the latest and apply a new Ceramic Coating to keep the paint looking new for many more years to come.

Diff breather arrived. Gonna tackle this on Sunday. I also pulled the trigger on a grille I found from a thread which led me to Ebay. I've been wanting to do a grille with the TOYOTA lettering now for a while but never was happy with anything I found until now. Pretty stoked about this b/c it will change the front look the way i've always wanted it to look without the need to upgrade to the 2012+ headlights and OEM TRD Pro Grille.
