We just started snowing here probably about an hour ago. When I got up there was sleet hitting the windows and nothing really on the roads. Delays are rolling in now. This one is late so it is going to be tough to call.
Yeah, that GSD person is very good. Pretty much all I look to for an accurate read of the weather in our area.

That is great news for me, I don't have to rush down there to shovel quite yet! Looks like you guys might pick up a couple of inches today, I have some meetings in Hancock this afternoon so I might have to do a quick shovel down there. I'm just really excited that my base stayed from last week and now we got another 6+ to cover it up and solidify it. Doesn't look like much warm weather up here in the next couple of weeks, maybe a day or two but it shouldn't melt off. This could be a great year for winter sports in the higher elevations if this keeps up :fingerscrossed::bananadance:

GSN guy needs to give ol' Steve Capparizzo the boot! I remember when Steve came to my school when I was in 3rd grade, it was like the president showed up or something. We were all so entranced by the weathermans celebrity and I don't think I'll ever forget it:rofl:

So glad to hear that the base stayed up north. We have nothing left down here. :( Should be a great year indeed.

That is funny as hell. Yeah, a weatherman in school. Like a god.

@Bridge4 - hope ya don't mind me askin' - where are you from? Wondering cuz I go to Pownal 'bout once a week. I do 9 to Shaw & pick up 116. For some reason, & I looked back a bit at the thread, but can't see any reference to it, I'm thinking Savoy? Maybe it's just cuz the way you're referring to where you live, the terrain, the weather, etc. Anywho, I have had some close calls (one particularly freaky one last year right before the Shaw Rd turnoff) & while I do check the weather, whenever I'm heading to VT, if you are from the hills up that way, it'd be worth checking to see if you've posted anything as well.

I'm originally from Williamstown but have been living in Savoy for about 3 years now, my parents have a place up here and when I moved back from NC, my wife and I moved in above the barn into an apartment here. So you are correct with the Savoy guess, pretty impressed! That shaw rd turn can come up on you quick, especially if the weather isn't good.

Here is a picture from yesterday afternoon, when I came home last night we had another inch or so and the snow was still coming down pretty good. I'd say we have a solid foot at this point up here.

If you don't mind me butting in.....you may be better going to 8A or even down to the Pitts and taking 8 north or even go over to 7, depending on how the snowfall fell.

    Snowfall fell.....:D that's kinda funny.

Drove through the berkshires today on my way up to mt snow(they got 21"+ past 48hrs!!!) and couldn't believe the amount of people off the roads or upside down. Pittsfield area didnt seem to get a crazy amount of snow but people stuck at driving. I made the mistake of taking 8 up through searsburg pass, and it was not well cared for.
Helped pull a lady out of the ditch on 41 in Richmond on my way back home.
I need to get a job up in the area so I can move back up there.

Just a question here, I have all new in the box Yakima Baseline Towers (8000146) and Yakima Base Clips (128 and 125) and Yakima Jetstream Black 60 inch Cross Bars (8000426) as well as 30 inch Cross Bar Pads (8007413) and a new in package Forklift Cross Bar Bike Rack with locking skewer (8002098) and I believe I have all matching locks and keys for all. Curious if anyone is interested in this system for their 2005 to 2015 Tacoma and what you would pay for it? Will also fit a 2016 to 2019 Tacoma with the only change being one of the Base Clips to a Base Clip 145. I can give you all the pics you want as this will be sweet on a Tacoma. Oops I forgot a piece which is the Wheelhouse (8002108) Total it would cost you with tax and shipping would be about 940.00 lets make a deal.

Yup you can attach the bike rack you gave me where the front tire has to come off or use it with the Bike Racks that you can leave the tire on it. Like below, but if you chose to use the Bike Rack you gave me you would use the Wheelhouse linked below.

    Woah... so many options... lol

What I need is an outboard mount that will work with a rack, or a hardshell....

I have the winter to sort all this out. I AM NOT giving up the toolbox

    Thanks Rick...
