Yeah, but it works. The new Slaughter bridge over Mopac switches sides, and damn if it doesn’t move a lot more traffic quickly. It seems contrary, but the computer models it was designed in prove it. And safer, because you’re not turning left in front of oncoming traffic.

 

Come to think of it, I don’t remember an accident at that intersection since the change.

 

So it never lived up to its name.

 

Ok, maybe it's not stupid. But I still wasn't a fan for whatever reason.

I think it's because I sat a red light after I was already traveling west of 290 after taking the right off 71 for what felt like an eternity and nobody passing by.

 

Nobody likes change

Just moved the Dogs bed to make way for Christmas stuff. Dogs hate change too.

 

They should have just built flyover exits and a pass through east & west

 

They’ve been planning a flyover since 2000. It was supposed to go over the entire “y”. They just keep building more houses, and the “y” just keeps getting worse.

 

Good lort...uh! They finished that mofo in Bastrop bout 6 months ago and shaved an easy 20 minutes off my trips to HTX

My wife told me I need to go to sleep. That’s her nice way of saying that I’m acting like an asshole.

 

They just opened up a soup kitchen here at manchaca and Ben white.

My house is maybe ten minutes away and the amount of homeless on the streets has doubled.

Went the Waller creek light show for the 2nd year in a row with my wife and was absolutely shocked at the amount of human feces under every single bridge down there

It's literally underneath the police station!!!!

My word. This poor poor city. I've vowed to stick it out good and bad but damn it's hard to see it like this.

Not any lighting under those bridges either and I felt like we were going to get mugged at any minute with hundreds and hundreds of homeless sleeping there and in camps all around
