Alright so I wanted to have a little bit more visible parking/running light and didnt want to have to spend big bucks to get it.

The plan is to convert the whole front end to LEDs and have a cooler look.

So what i did was swapped the light positions for the blinker and parking light so that the blinker is now on the outside corner and the modified parking/running light is in the middle.

To do this i simply unplugged both of the bulbs and took off the little pieces that make it fit in the headlight. I then took apart the plugs and repinned tem with the wires from the other original plug.

I now have a running light in and a outer turn signal. The plan is to swap to LED within a couple days so i dont have to worry about visibility or heat issues.

sorry for the essay, hope i could help

In the future i might mod this to have a switchback in the old turn signal position and keep the corner light as a blinker

From my experience with DTRL, make sure they don't run too hot or it'll burn the plastic lenses. I killed my DTRL because I didn't want to replace my OEM smoked headlights after I replaced the first set.

Thanks for the heads up, i removed the reflector when i colormatched/blacked out my headlights so that part wont melt, also switching to leds in hopes of cooler temps and brighter output.

This is the dumbest mod ever. So now you have
    1 less visible turnsignals
2 turn signals that flash too fast because 194 bulb doesn't draw enough current
3 no front side marker lights (illegal)
4 melted lenses in the headlights, just like DTRL causes

I see your point but I’m not sure I agree on all of those. Turn signals are probably equally visible. And by opting for led’s OP will likely eliminate hyper flash and DTRL melting. It just looks different that usual layout. I think there are plenty of mods dumber than this.

There is no way a 194 is as visible as the factory turn signal bulbs, even if you put in a LED 194. And LED 194s are still going to cause hyperflash. But, yes, there are dumber mods, but this one is right up there.
