@RandomCupHolder sounds like another case of an offroad shop that doesn’t know how to adjust SPC UCAs. Find a better offroad shop.

Also the 3/4 spacer is making your CV angles worse. You could ditch them but you’d be a 2” lift. Any lift will cause stress.

    Search for needle bearing.

Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
In addition, I like how SPC has this right at the top "This part should only be installed by personnel who have the necessary skill, training and tools to do the job correctly and safely. Incorrect installation can result in personal injury, vehicle damage and / or loss of vehicle control." Emphasis on necessary skill lol

Also make sure they torque that top nut down to 150ft lbs or else it'll be a bad day.

Wondering what the CV angles should look like in a lifted truck? Seems normal to me. Maybe this guy is used to looking at stock angles

Changed my mind, I’ve decided the front is too high for 265’s. I’m going to drop to 5/4 first.

Even for a lifted truck? Maybe because he has a 3” lift and not 2” like many on here?

You can certainly go up to 3” like OP did but man that’s going to be hard on boots.

What are you looking for to deem a bad cv angle? If boot fins are touching? Or the actual angle itself? I see tons of pics and never know what I’m looking for lol.

I think with that many fins touching and pushed together as tight as they are that’s going to rub pretty good. It’ll do fine for a while but at some point he’s going to need to replace boots. If he leaves them as is just make sure you check your CV’s semi regularly.

You bought it last week and already have it installed? I bought from low range off-road last Wednesday and it hasn’t shipped yet. Feels bad man :annoyed:

    I would ditch the spacers.

I'm with you. I have the Icon AAL and still haven't decided on the setting, and/or if I want to keep the OL leaf. I just want to lift 1 inch or so in the front, nothing to big. But I have the feeling if I leave the OL lift, it will be too high in the back in relation to the front. So maybe I go with the 5/6 setting, AAL and OL in to raise it 2 inches all around and keep the rake. Or I might just leave out the Icon AAL and just go an inch in the front, kind of like the Pro look.

This. The shop was able to adjust the passenger side but not the driver. Driver's side was unable to adjust fully. It must be that spacer.

Thanks for all the feed back, answered a ton of questions! So to answer some of yalls questions... The lift kit was advertised as 1"-2.75" lift. I wanted 3" but couldn't find a 1/4" spacer, I plan on running 33x12.5 or bigger tires so I settled for the 3/4" bringing me to 3.5" total. I have the 3/4" spacer on both sides but for some odd reason I have an extra inch on front passenger.:notsure: I will for sure take my truck back to the alignment shop w/ SPC paper and see what they can do with the adjustable upper ball joint. As far as the cv axles go, I have a diff drop kit sitting back at barracks that ill install this weekend and see if that helps the boots. My biggest questions right now is are the upper and lower ball joints "safe" (off-road worthy) at that level of contorsion and is my UCA supposed to sit that low? might I need to get a balljoint spacer?
