We’ve been discussing both of these incidents and others that will likely find their way into the mainstream in a couple of the Paramotor and Skydiving groups that I’m a member of and each one of them was caused by the instructor pilot being complacent about their pre-flight safety check.

So who is watching the "86th Annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center" Live on NBC?

Uh....hello, last time I looked at the calendar it was still November and Christmas was still 27 days away!

Ok, the description says this is a "tree lighting ceremony" but the title says "86th annual Christmas"

Let's keep up with the pace and have a "Rockin' New Year's special next week.

Hell, if we do that we should even bring Dick Clark back. Yeah I know he's been dead for several years but why should that matter?

Anyway, I hope everyone has a happy Valentine's day. o_O

It is truly shocking to think that someone might actually believe that this revolting display actually complies with any current or past electrical codes!

These guys must have been nuts to do something like this. Hopefully they were going through some sort of phase or maybe they rode the short bus to school! It would be pretty hard to stay neutral if I found this and I would probably be pretty hot if it was my equipment!

This was found at an RV Park. The spray foam was used in place of wire nuts to connect all the breakers to the electrical source. Wires were twisted together and foamed over. Total lack of concern for safety or life.

...^^^... I took some pics of wiring like this in Thailand too. The electric meters were on the poles or close to the street in those areas of crazy wiring. It's not like that everywhere though ... newer areas have good wiring.

And the service guys climb up maybe 50' on skinny little bamboo ladders too.

My Thai wife kept asking me ... why I was always taking those pics and laughing. :D

In my younger years my friends and I would go on Scuba vacations anywhere the water was warm and clear, and the cost was cheap. More than once we saw these setups.

Not as bad, but they do install the switch way up.

Actually, the maze of wires are for telecommunication. The electrical lines are above them on insulators and much larger.
