Chicks are just f*@#ed up. Some 25 yeas ago I split up with my girlfriend who I loved very much. She moved out of state, got married, has kids. I get a call out of the blue a few days ago from her. She wanted to let me know that she "is still in love with me and always has been". She also tells me that she is still very happy and loves her husband an would never leave him. Ok... Cool. I get that. Why call? Whats the point now? Oh.. She wants me to pick her up (she will be in my state) in October so we can spend some time with eachother. A part of me still loves her but I am NOT "in love with her". Those feelings died 25 years ago. One other thing, I have received over 50 emails in about 10 days from her. She is making my head hurt.

Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things.

Hey all. Its been awhile since I've checked in. I got updates. I talked to her... she is with some college kid. Im not sure where they are. My lawyers managed to get the money back! That was sure a help. I have my kids back with me. They are handling it better than I imagined. All I can do is keep my head up :)

This comment struck a nerve with me because I can feel your pain. Not only can I relate, but as you try to piece your life back together other things like God come back into your life. I'm sorry for your loss. It sounds like things are getting better. Be strong. Stay active.

Wow I just read through all of these posts....man that's deep! I agree with just about everything that's already been said here. I tend to believe that things happen for a reason beyond our control...and at times, unfortunately, through shitty situations. Time eventually's going to heal things, but keep a cool head because you've got to look out for your #1, the kids. Karma's gonna catch up to her at some point or another.

Stay strong buddy. May God bless you and yours.

Told you the courts would frown on dashing off with the family assets.

The other guy is probably living on student loads. This is going to get real funny real fast.

stay strong and positive. I have always found that every time a door closes, another one is opening up. Sometimes, you just have to find it. God bless and definitely keep venting to us on TW if you need. I believe its better to let it out than to keep that anger built up inside.
