I've installed these solo and for what it's worth...

    Use a flare end wrench...

This is a flare end wrench

I'd stick with a flare end wrench.

Also, if you are installing those shocks, All Pro shipped me and others, shocks that were intended for FJ Crusier installation... You may have to do something like this...

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/50524-mod-rear-fj-shock-tacoma-mount.html

The biggest bitch of the whole install was installing the stainless lines. I would almost encourage you to just bend the upper bracket so that you have more slack and call it good. I know many that have done that.

If you do change out the lines just be advised that many folks have found that the factory over torques these babies to the point that the brake line flare flares out to a point that you will essentially be 'threading' the flare on it's way out and the fitting doesn't act as a very good die! THIS IS THE REASON THAT IF YOU DO CHANGE OUT YOUR LINES, USE A FLARE END WRENCH!!! Do as senor taco says and no one will get hurt! ;)

    Good luck

Thanks a ton! Hopefully we won't encounter to many problems with it. Are there any other brake lines that are better or should I really just stick with the stock ones? What are you running?

I am running the All Pro stainless lines - I have enough slack to have 10 inches more of travel! ;) Stainless lines are always nice. In this application you should have longer lines but a good compromise if you can't afford the time or money, is to bend the upper bracket to point the lines down further. Then check when you go wheeling how much stress is put on the line when you are articulated in such a way that the shock is at full travel. You do not want to have any strain on the brake line! Class dismissed! ;) Now get out and wheel! :)

All Pro are longer than the toytec lines

I also have All Pro stainless line... there is tons of slack, as for getting them off, they were a PITA (thanks Seth) but once we found a more snug 10 mm wrench they came off, just go slowly and if you start to strip the bolt even a little, STOP! find another wrench...not all 10 mm wrenches are the same.

as for $$ the All Pro were reasonably price and Sarah @ All Pro got them to me quick.

$12 at Harbor Freight - If you don't use them today, you will in the future.

One other tip as long as you are wrenching - ALWAYS pull a wrench when at all possible and you have a lot less busted knuckles!
