Prefer projector lights better especially out in the country

One of the comments was they had to take out the reflectors for the led bulbs.

    Morning ladies and gents!

@Kolunatic This is just my personal observation, but I ran LED headlights for a while in my truck, and imo, without projectors to focus the beams, they are not as good out on the dark country roads that we drive on. I swapped back to my stock halogens after running the LEDs in the stock housings for a while, and noticed a big improvement in visibility. The LEDS are very bright for about the first 25ft, but after that, they scatter out in all directions, and made it harder for me to see. I think part of this was the difference in light color as well. I ran 6k LEDs and the warmer light color (around 3100k) made it easier for me to see. Seemed like the whiter light from LEDs made my eyes struggle to see. But that is all relative! Just something you might want to be aware of

    Thanks Robert
I don’t have time right now or the funds really for the upgrade with everything else going on. Maybe in future. Just glad I have my led fog lights that’s for sure!

I agree with Robert my headlight by themself suck but with Cali raised led foglights and a 30" led light bar it's like daylight out there :D

    Sure thing!

I don't think HID or LED make a difference, just need projectors whenever you go with either one so that the beam is more focused, and properly cutoff. I have heard if you are going to run HIDs, to not cheap out on them. You get what you pay for kinda thing. With LEDs though, I don't think you can really screw up going cheap. they're all bright and don't require ballasts like HIDs

I see a spot on front bumper for more lights on mine
And if I change back to stock headlight housings instead of eBay ones
