I got a delivery yesterday. It was a Mercedes van with the Prime logo on it. I asked the driver if he was Amazon. He said yes and they had been running about two weeks.

I had my TWSS gift delivered via Amazon, they took a pic of the doorstep and I could view it with the tracking. I assume it was an Amazon van. USPS got competition

I got a notice to see my package real time on a map. I was at work so By the time I looked at it, it had been delivered. Thinking the same.

Yup, saw them- ACRES of them- off of Ashley Phosphate a few months back. They're building them in Charleston and standing up Amazon's own delivery service.

Walmart tried this, and it was a dumpster fire. Amazon is going to pull it off. Think about that....

I'd love to see that happen.. but knowing human greed/nature.. people would be playing skeet with them and taking the packages.

Skynet == Amazon, Google, and Tesla partner up to take over the world! Might as well throw in a Japanese robot company(Samsung?) for good measure

Given current drone tech and the economy of scale needed to make this happen- pretty sure it will be limited to large urban areas... all of which it's illegal to discharge a firearm in.

    This means nothing to some!

I wonder if Amazon can actually deliver a package on time without bouncing back and forth between the three neighboring cities for two days. USPS/UPS Surepost does that every damn time.

If they can do that, they win in my book.

Who ever has been delivering my packages (I suspect the post office lady) has been driving through my front yard so they can get within 10 feet of my front porch and toss the package at the house. While I appreciate that I am in the country and any grass/open land is free reign to travel, I will be very unhappy if they end up rutting up my yard or ruining what little grass I have.

At least it is on the porch and not in the middle of the field like has happened before.

I just now went through and deleted all tracking activities that google has on me and disabled any future activity tracking. Those fekers know what I am doing on my phone, like using certain apps and shit. F all that, you dont need it! Whatever happened to just collecting your web searches and using them to deliver better results, now it is everything.

Just going to leave this here...
