Not much fun getting those sons of guns in there for sure! Lots of 4 letter explicetives when I did mine. Must have some little Japanese woman with very small hands installin' them.

You are correct, and that was factored in when it was mounted. No chips or rubbing after a year (including off-roading). Fortunately for us, 3rd gens don't seem to have as much bed flexing as 2nd gens.

Awesome comparison shot. Yeah I did fear that it would be almost unrecognizable unless you got your eyes right up to it. I have a 3x5 sample of the Black Matrix so I can compare in the truck. I'm also wanting to wrap my grille bezel and the vinyl on the door B pillars. I'll have to check out ORACAL.. not sure how I missed them because I checked out Vvivid, 3M, Avery, and a few others. Hmm. I appreciate the link too, thanks much! Future apologies if I copy you :drunk::rain:

In my opinion the Baja Designs are a much better value, and better output, for around $325 vs the cost of Pro fogs.

Almost makes me wish I lived somewhere where you could buy a 30-year-old vehicle and it was still structurally sound.

    Nice tree.

I like something like that as I could use the tonneau cover, but I think my bed tent would hit it. Ill have to install my bed tent again to see if I can use something like that.

So....at 19,000 miles, my service engine light came on. Took to dealer, and got a P0420 error. Something to do with a sensor on the Catalyic converter. They tested a couple times and determined that i might have one of the only 2017 Tacomas that needed a new Catalyic converter. They ordered the parts to repair and they re set/cleared the error code, I took the truck on a 1900 mile trip to CO and returned back here to the Dallas area. The engine light didn’t come back on for my entire trip. The first tank of gas I got just under 12 MPG. As I drove more miles, after several tanks, the mileage got better. The last tank I got after about 1800 miles, I was getting about 18.5 MPG. They replaced the converter under the warranty, And did a TSB-0058-18, and checked the trans fluid level. Saw a picture of the inside of the unit, tech told me appears a portion of the interior of the converter broke off.

Incredible that Toyota made a snorkel that is somehow uglier than the ARB monstrosity.
    Tires look good though.

Pulled my spare tire down to find a huge burn scar on it from my chopped exhaust.. Of course my spare is the one tire that didn't have replacement certs on it from @Discount Tire Direct . Brought it in anyway and since they hadn't seen something like it before, they gave me 50% off another spare. Class act by Discount. For now I've got the new one mounted on my Prinsu Toprac but will be looking into an exhaust re-route in the near future.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
I went with Barcelona Red figuring that when it starts to rust, it won't show up so bad (last truck was white, big mistake), but that sure is a purdy shade of blue.

^^ That looks amazing. Now I want to wrap my roof in black and get the TRD Offroad large hood vinyl as well.

I need to stay off of the internet!
