I keep looking at pictures of it, I want to like it, really want to like it... but it's hideous.

Lifted and topless, I think it looks good. Almost looks Hummer H1-ish from some angles and that is one of my all time favorite vehicles.

Part of it is added weight from offroad-related add-on's, but from what I've read it's mostly that the suspension is built for flex rather than capacity. The Ram Power Wagons suffer from the same problem; their payload and towing are much lower than the standard 2500's because of the different spring rates.

Yup I most certainly am over payload. I would like to not be but until I can swing a 2nd larger truck (prefer an suv for the wife) the Taco is the tow machine.

I'd be worried about the one, smart insurance adjuster on earth. Chances are he'd be the one handling my claim and if you are over GVWR and you get in an accident? Not good. Even if someone hits you.

    Yep.
"Sorry, Mr Tull, we're not going to cover your claim because you violated the law by going over your towing limit"
    "But they hit me!"
"Yes, but you were partially at fault for exceeding your limit"
"But I was stopped at a traffic light, in my own lane, not moving!"
"Sorry sir, but I'm afraid the law is the law"

And that statement right there is why I bought the Super Duty... Way more than I realistically need, but I'll never be overloaded.

That would be a lot funnier if I couldn't envision a situation where things actually played out that way...

Believe it or not, I can actually legally tow that behemoth! It wouldn't be a lot of fun and I'm sure the 6.2 would have it's tongue out sucking wind the whole time, but dammit I'd be legal

It's right about at the upper limit of what the truck is rated for. It has a 3,200 lb pin weight and my truck's payload is just over 3,600. I don't recall what my tow rating is. That trailer weighed in at 14,900 empty. That's F-450 territory to tow comfortably but I'm sure some dumbass is dragging it around with a 250.

His loaded Yeti 75 would probably do the job.

So yeah, you could haul it, but your springs would be maxed and you'd never get out of second gear

Minor details. And I'm sure I could find a downhill somewhere that I could get up to speed on!

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
Anyone have an Ollie's discount around them? I just picked up a set of 20 ft 2AWG jumper cables for only $20.
I'm going to give them to my wife so she can give them to me for Christmas.
