Are you setting higher than the PRO on stock suspension?

I wanted 235/85R16 skinnies but no one seems to sell an aftermarket aluminum 16x7 wheel.
Does anyone think a 265/70R17 can fit on a 2nd gen without a lift? Now that I'm paying attention, I do lock the steering in each direction quite a bit. Don't want any rubbing if i can help it.
FWIW I'm willing to remove those silly flaps in front of the front wheels if that helps.

Evo Corse makes a nice wheel in 16x7... pricey though.

I have a 2013 4x4 with 3rd Gen springs on ProComp SS suspension.

I'm getting the 16 inch TRD "Beadlock" wheels.

I live on the GA/FL border and drive 97% highway, 2% beach and 1% trails.

I'd like your input on a good daily with an "aggressive" look that is safe and decent on mpg's.

I'm currently running Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs 265/60/18.

What do you all recommend? IMG_20180821_102005621.jpg s-l300.jpg

probably the ST MAXX or discoverer ST ... the ST is super light but doesn't look as aggressive.

Yes I was looking at those or the Discovery AT3 4S. The Duratracs are not so great in the rain. Size is the big thing I'm trying to figure out. Trying to determine between a 245, 255......and a 70 or 75 height. I don't think I should go much higher since I have a roof rack and don't want to be kicked out of my own garage! :)

Any input on a good size combo?

Well this is the skinny tire thread. If you want that width to sidewall ratio this may not be the thread with the best info... But I'd say 235/85-16 Cooper ST Maxx

I love my Cooper ST Maxxs. They are incredible in the rain. Will get a good off-road test next weekend.

    I had Cooper ATPs before.

Absolutely. I'm looking at the Maxx's now. My current 265/60/18 have a height of 30.5 inches. The 235/85/16 will be 31.7 inches.....I wonder what the ride difference and mpg difference would be.

I like the ride of the ST Maxx. For such an aggressive AT tire it rides and handles very well.

I am 99.9% positive you won't have issues with 235/85-16.

Gas mileage wouldn't change much. The tire is 30mm narrower so rolling resistance is less, and the weight increase would be marginal even though it's taller.

Pair it with some light wheels and go 255/85r16 like I did!

Incorrect. 285/75/17 and 285/70 are exactly the same width. 285mm.

I would have suggested this (I have 255/85-16 ST Maxx on now) but that requires a lift. Based on the current tire size @2013XSPX is running I assume no lift. :notsure:

My Truck is a 4x4 XSPX which had super basic black colored shocks on it. I upgraded to the ProComp
    https://www.4wheelparts.com/p/pro-comp-pro-runner-ss-monotube-shock-absorber-zx2080/_/R-DFCW-ZX2080
and I replaced my front springs with springs from a 2017 TRD OR. That raised my front up a bit over an inch. Rear stayed the same. I definitely do not want to rub.

Again, not an expert but I would say 99.9% chance 255/85-16 will rub. It is a 33" tire.

I have a full OME lift and I do not rub.

It's more about the ratio than the actual width. 285/75 are close to tall skinny ratios

I personally like the looks of the flares on your truck but that’s just my two cents. I don’t know if you were asking for input but you said you were undecided so...:D
