They actually made the 5th Gen T4R Limited in 2WD. I would love to drop a Tundy 5.7L in one of those and turn it into a tire-roasting sleeper!

    GMC YUKON!

    1. There has been no such thing as a GMC Suburban since 1999; GMC's version has been called the Yukon XL since 2000...

    2. The Tahoe is a Chevrolet product...

    3. Read the original post. I said "2018 GMC Yukon"...

I'm asking if it was the longer or shorter one.

The GMC "Yukon" name is applied to both long and short models.

You asked if it was a "GMC Tahoe."

    It's a short wheelbase...

I had a Yukon Denali 2004 my senior year of high school I bought it. Went into the Marine Corps and it sat so long my parents had to sell it. That was a damn fine suv.

My mom bought this last week. It is super bad ass! But id never pay $75k for a vehicle unless i won the lottery. She traded a 2015 Platinum Exped with 85k miles on it. I would've loved to have that one but didnt have an extra $25k laying around.

How did she put 85K on it so quickly?

Texas is a big state bud!

HAHA thats true but they go out of state alot on vacations and always drive. They live in a little town in central Texas and its a long way to anywhere.

The original 15-inch steel wheels and factory Dunlop tires on my truck were replaced in October 2013, with about 31K on the clock.

I always thought the factory wheel/tire combo was too small for a truck, and my dad agreed. The factory wheels were replaced with Platinum Apex 16-inch wheels and BFG tires. The black Platinum Apex wheels remain, but I am now on my second set of tires since the BFGs (Michelins). My truck currently has a little over 90,100 miles on it.

The reason I am asking this question is because last August at the Carlisle Truck Nationals, I met a guy with a 1987 Mazda B2600 4x4, of which he was the original owner.

This Mazda was showing about 175K miles on the analog odometer. The owner had installed larger wheels and tires, and lifted the truck slightly, but otherwise left it stock.

The owner believed that with the larger wheels, the odometer had been rendered inaccurate and the true mileage was actually around 200K.

Obviously, my truck has a digital odometer so it's probably more accurate. However, a while ago I started a thread on TW about using the trip odometer to gauge gas mileage, and another member told me that my trip odometer probably wasn't very accurate anymore due to having larger tires.

My truck has had slightly larger aftermarket wheels for more than 5 years and just shy of 60,000 miles. Does anybody think that my truck's true mileage could be somewhat higher than what the odometer is showing?

Also, I work two jobs; I work as a barback at a nightclub and I detail cars at a dealership.

The distance from my house to
the detail shop is roughly 10 miles each way. However, sometimes I put 11 miles on my truck during this commute.

My commute to work is 10 miles each way, but sometimes I put 11 miles on my truck driving from work to home, or vice versa. Could this be the result of my slightly larger wheels?

Use the tire size calculator and find the difference in circumference between stock tire size and your new size. Now multiply mileage by 1+ the % difference.

    Ex-
    245/75r16 stock
    285/75r16 Now
    7.8% increase in circumference
Multiply Mileage by 1.078 to get actual
