He's a recruiting genius and is a "player's coach".

yes... his video was taking into consideration that OK plays better offenses than OSU or at least offense that avg noticeable more yards to be less subjective. so he took the avg offense each team faced and compared their defense respectively to what it would have been had they faced the national average and compared those two outcomes, he also compare OSU and OK's offense in the same manner

 

Yeah, you can pretty much chalk it up to Lane. He was recruiting both Tua and Jake Fromm at the same time. Fromm committed first, then Tua. Once Tua committed and Kirby left for UGA, Fromm followed Kirby, I believe.

 

Either way both their defenses suck

I don't think so. Saban probably isnt much in the business of second guessing decisions or choices, just moving on to the next and learning from the mistake.

I don’t think Dabo leaves Clemson when he’s able to regularly compete for a playoff spot in the ACC. There’s coming home, and then there is iron clad job security.

 

Dabo has already said he’s not leaving Clemson unless they run him off. Tommy Bowden plucked him from real estate to coach again, after being let go by Alabama when they fired his coach and mentor. As Tommy stepped aside he recommended Dabo to AD to serve in his place. Sure, he’s from the state and walked on, but I’m not so sure he cares to return. His children were raised there and are currently student athletes there- he’s ALL IN !

 

Dabo is not a product of Alabama, he’s the coaching lineage of Gene Stallings and Tommy Bowden

 

He is home.

Coach Venables, defensive coordinator, had so many opportunities to be a head coach and has passed every time- says he loves being a defensive coordinator too much.
The two offensive coordinators are both former players for Dabo while he was receivers coach. I don't see the band breaking up.
That being said, Dabo has repeatedly said he harbors no ill will toward anyone who wants to be a head coach- said that with a smile on his face as Chad Morris left.

 

To be fair, Clemson's program and most notable coaches have roots to the state of Alabama- UA and AU
