North East Skiing Thread!!

Looks like they run deals with a certain amount of tickets for sale at that price. I think we just got lucky.

 

So I called my brother to let him know, thinking he could take the day off and bring his family. He said he thinks it's for St. Patty's day, which makes sense I guess! But still, gotta get some tickets before they decide to cancel the deal!

I am still pinching myself. Wow! I think the last time I paid less than $20 to ski was when I was going with my father as a MS kid.

I'm grabbing a couple now incase my wife or fil or cousin or something wants to tag along! Jiminy is usually so pricey too!

@DrFunker Went to Berkshire East today, no pow left but it was a great day for skiing. They have a new deal for anyone with a season pass elsewhere, $15 rest of the spring, week day or weekend. My buddy has a mount snow pass and got the discount.

I called Jiminy to do the tickets yesterday because I wasn't sure all the names of who might come with me and wanted to grab a few early. They won't let you buy them without a name attached online, but they also don't answer the phone when you call. Left a message yesterday and haven't heard back. I'm not going to fight to give them money when Berk East is so much nicer and friendly, so unless I hear back from them soon I probably won't be there friday!

 

Sounds good. I am going to keep the ticket I got as I don't have a seasons pass to anywhere.
We'll connect at another time.

 

Thanks for the tag @DrFunker but, I probably wouldn't be able to get Friday off; hopefully next time. @DrFunker & @Bridge4 that's a hell of a deal to find.

I finished up a weekend up at Stratton; Saturday was kinda a bust for me but the gf got out on the hill so that's what matters (we didn't get on a lift until 10:30-11) Sunday was good though, some long ass glade runs there and you could still find some deep pow in the trees. We also stayed in a "murder" cabin with her friends cause they wanted to save a few bucks instead of getting a hotel. Truck got a workout getting to that place, basically on the side of a mountain/hill.

Made it up to Smuggs and Jay last Friday and Saturday. Found some leftover powder and had fun with the family. Daycare was full both days so we saved some money and took turns.

 

To kick off the 2018 season, here's a glimpse of the snow we got so far today in the MRV with more to come throughout the week. Sugarbush opens on 11/17. So stoked!

 

@DrFunker @Bridge4 Any plans to be at B'East this weekend? The wife and I are thinking of heading up, but not sure what day yet.

 

Hadn't thought of that. Was going to head into the woods on Sunday, somewhere. I am busy all day Saturday.
Watch the weather for Sunday. They are talking showers. Supposed to be near 50 around here.
