So I want to know if anyone can tell me about gas mileage differences in the p245/75 r16 from the factory hankook tires? Best I can tell the weight should be good and I want a a/t but only reason im driving a Tacoma instead of a Tundra is gas mileage.

Your best bet is just to compare weights of the two tires. 245/75R16 is the same diameter as 265/70R16.

I might be able to help. With the factory firestones I was at a 12k mile lifetime average of approximately 22.7 MPG (Varied between 22.5 and 23 depending on how I had been driving recently).

With 245/75/16 I am at 20.1 MPG average over my last 3k miles.

Are you adjusting the MPG due to the larger tire? I think you need to add about 3%

Stock tires on SR5 and SR are already 245/75/16 and so are my Wildpeaks.

I looked into it the factory tires on my Sr are 32lbs and the falkens are rated at 38.5lbs but this seems to be the lightest at tire that has good reviews I can find. Any real experience with the Sr stock size(245/75/r16) fuel mileage and snow/wet weather handling?

It's an automatic with the stock 4.10s. The truck handles really well. The tires rub occasionally when flexing though. And I can definitely tell the truck is a bit more tippy than before. Also power and gas mileage suck. I could swap for higher gear ratio but its just not really worth it to me right now. I plan to go to a smaller tire size here soon. Same brand and model tires, just a little smaller.

Absolutely love how they look on the truck at stock height. 265/70/16. Had my local discount tire mount them btw, went smooth and even though I do most of my rotations myself it's nice having the option to have someone else do it for me.

Got mine on yesterday, and already drove about 400 miles, much of it in heavy rain. Same size as the stock Wranglers (265/70/16). Slightly harsher and noisier ride, but nothing bothersome. Seems like a slight hit to MPG as well. They performed fantastic in heavy rain and standing water. And they look killer.

Looking to get these tires for my next set.
Unsure of whether to get P rated or LT rated, Anyone who has had these tires for a while with either load range want to chime in on how they have been? Or wish you would have gotten LT or P instead of what you have.

Going on my 2nd winter with mine, 265/70/17 in the LT. Great tire, smooth and fairly quiet. Great traction all around. Switched from the old KO series BFG's and its night and day difference.
