Uh, I think you are mistaken. I have it on good authority (some 17 year old filling up his '89 CRX at Mobil) that the scoop adds 10 hp. Factoring in the 5 hp boost from each bedside decal and OP already has a 20 hp leg-up on his old Limited. Just need to add a citrus oxide booster and a neon light underglow kit.

I want to know this too. I have a 16 too, and only recently paid it off completely.

Good point I meant more maybe it was rushed a little extra due to the GM Twins coming out. Not that there is any competition from them.

Never had an issue with my 16 (late year build) other than a battery. I keep hearing these myths even though new trucks, some, have same common snowflake problems and are actually identical minus a tsb, big deal. Hint: same mechanical tranny lol. Engine too.

I have a 17 DCSB with the 4 cyl/auto. Having the "shuttering" in the shifting around 55 MPH and the vibration in the driveshaft around 40 MPH , that Toyota issued Service Bulletins on in 2016. I took an identical 2019 for a test drive and the "shuttering is still there" Dealer say's that since Toyota hasn't issued a service advisory for 2017, there is nothing they can do, even though a transmission ECM calibration was issued for 2016.

Last time I checked the 2nd Gen gold forum first page was littered with problems, more so than a rattle. Gold mine ? Funny. :rofl:Maybe iron.
Rust, frames, crank rods, tranny shot, no start, no 4 lo , head gaskets, sagging, door locks, drive line vibs, etc etc etc.......
But I do like the Flux capacitors and back end station wagon look on 2nds.

It's funny how we can all look at the same thing and see something totally different. At dealer yesterday and sat in a Tundra. The interior is so retro, it reminded me of my 2015. I think based on looks(and I guess everything else) the 3rd gen is so much nicer. They are the best looking trucks out there.

    Brian,

Going from a Limited to a Sport should cut 25 years of your life. Throw away your viagra, your chrome, and your AARP card. You won't be eating at 5pm early bird specials like the rest of the Limited owners anymore.

Now that you are 25 years younger, and a new man, congratulations.

Just traded my 16 inferno Sport MT for a 18 OR. Loved the inferno and never had a single problem, sure it had the wining rear end noise, clunky MT tranny but it didn’t bother me a bit. Never had it at a dealer once. 531B241E-E499-410B-AA19-C712ABD90F75.jpgA8489871-487C-4A36-9280-60F2FED45276.jpg
