I left as-is but I wasn’t sure either. I’m sure it’s fine either way as long as there’s a barrier.

Since were flaming and firing. LoL... The only way to know if a weld is truly structurally sound is to destroy it. Or do some sort of Radio graphic/ultrasonic testing. I've sent parts out for testing that I thought would fail based on looks and they passed. Adversely I've sent parts out that I thought would pass based on looks and they failed. Also as any good welder knows, a weld bead that is 75% of the thickness of material being welded together is actually stronger than the material itself. And if that weld is properly laid, the material will rip apart before the weld ever breaks.

I can make stuff stick together, but I don't crap on the trade by saying I am a welder. just my 0.02

He was giving me shit for this. There is a whole story behind this and it was not fun. He also offered his spare bedroom to me so I could split my drive home, Chris is a really good dude!

Homer does such a nice job. I've been considering one but I still have too many functional things to get done. Good looking grill though Rick what did ya do with the old one?

Aha! Your selling the whole grill I had a brain fart, not hard for me, I was just thinking the insert. It's winter and slow I ought to just get some mesh and make one then I just need to find the letters

not me Unchained is selling is original. I saw it in the BST thread section. I won't ever sell my grille! Someone flaked and I got this one for less than he normally sells them for.

Added a Cali Raised bumper light bar. Pretty pleased with the final result.

I want a solution that only takes a minute for me to remove from the bed in the event I have to use my truck bed for moving crap. Also, my use doubles as my jack and as a wheel holder. This way my jack isn’t elsewhere.

Is that mounted to the bed rails? I don’t trust those for off-roading. They are too flimsy and plastic.

Nope, it bolts down to the bottom of the bed and it’s all steel.

Well it makes me unable to put a dresser in my bed without un bolting it. It’s also very expensive (relative) to my mount which consists of a $35 jack that doesn’t count towards the mount & a $67 y strap I’m waiting on

This all soundslike a perfectly good excuse to buy either a rear bumper with a swingout or a small tralier!

Edit: I’m not trying to be a smart ass I understand trying to haul stuff in these trucks especially with your spare in the bed
