Im so sorry to hear that man, it eventually hurts less.

 

After putting Smokey out for the night around 23:00 he started scratching at the door like crazy around 00:00 and now at 00:40 we’re on the floor of the office and he’s asleep.
I can’t believe that I’m missing out on my bed to sleep on the floor with my sisters dog. He’s definitely got his quirks, but he seems to be a good pup so far.

For a brief second, I thought that you stole mine...looks very similar. Then I remembered that mine is never content.

 

Fenix is pretty old, he’s at the age where as long as the other dogs are trying to get him to play he’s content, he’s also very, very vocal.

Ours is pretty smart overall, but all that goes out the window in "prey" mode

 

Finding this thread made my whole damn day. We lost our pug in July, after an incredible 14 years. She was the best dog I've ever had. I felt especially bad for my two now teenage girls, who have never had that awful experience before.


After some much needed time to mourn her, my wife surprised us with this little peanut. Our house feels full again.


They have quite a few things in common, such as an immense love of sleep. I think she's gonna fit right in.

Losing a dog is always hard. It took me 4 yrs before I was ready to get another after putting my last dog down, she was around 19 yrs old when her time finally came to move on. A little over a year ago I finally was ready to rescue a new pup to join me and after the past year with the new pup I had to give in and find him a brother I could rescue. Its only been 3-4 days and hes so happy except for the fact he doesnt get all the attention anymore.They get along great already though! This pic makes me feel like the little pup is about to become dinner with my older one licking his lips about to feast!
