"mpg's"

About a month ago i put the K&N Cold Air intake on my 06. I noticed a gain in my MPG's but then i put 3 inchs of lift and 285/16 BFG all terrains on it. The MPG's were not affected to much until about 2 wks ago they took a tank. Anybody got any idea what might have caused this? If anybody has about the same set up let me know what yall are getting for your MPG'S.

Any time you lift a vehicle and put bigger, heavier tires on it... you're going to see a decrease in millage. Or for that matter adding weight anywhere. Though like Isocoee said, probably need to see if your speedo is accurate (though I thought I read that adding larger tires actually made them more accurate... so dunno). Checking via GPS is probably the best idea.

my scangauge says that i get anywhere from 13 to 20 depending on how fast i am going and how heavy my foot is. i have the same setup as you do.

 

I know that the tires had some to do with it... ive put bigger tires on trucks before and not really had this big of a drop.... i guess im just going to have to suck it up bc it sure does look good.....
